World Cup Betting Tips Today: Predictions & Best Bets for June 14th

Day four at the 2026 World Cup has another quartet of fixtures to feast upon, with plenty of intriguing nations step forward for the first time.

All eyes will be on Ivory Coast vs Ecuador, while Netherlands vs Japan is equally intriguing. One of the tournament favourites, Germany, will have their chance to put Curacao in their place, before Sweden and Tunisia lock horns.

Our World Cup tipster Nathan Joyes has shared his analysis on all four matches as well as provided his best World Cup tips.

Ivory Coast vs Ecuador

Ivory Coast have one of the more exciting attacks in not only Africa, but also perhaps world football, heading into the World Cup. Ecuador, on the other hand, have one of the best defences on show.

Having conceded just five goals in 18 World Cup qualifiers, Sebastian Beccacece's defence consists of two Champions League finalists with Moises Caicedo in front protecting them. Ivory Coast will do extremely well to break them down.

Ecuador aren't a nation known for scoring many goals. With just 14 in 18 matches during qualifiers, and their reliance on 36-year-old Enner Valencia, their Argentine head coach will need his side to show more in the final third to win matches.

However, the opening match isn't a time to abandon his preferred approach. Ivory Coast will huff and puff, but in the heat both sides may have to settle for a point. If there is a moment where either side produce a moment of magic, my recommended selection will still land as a winner.

Therefore, I'm sticking up under 2.5 goals and BTTS no at 8/11 with BetMGM.

Germany vs Curacao

The gulf in quality between these two nations is enormous and that's, of course, heavily reflected in the betting. Germany are as short as 1/33 to win the match and anything else may be one of the biggest ever shocks at a World Cup.

Curacao have suffered some heavy defeats as they warm up for their debut. A 2-0 defeat against China was followed up with a 5-1 hammering against Australia. Two months later, Scotland put four past them.

Confidence was restored with a 4-0 win over Aruba - but ranked 189th in the world - Germany won't be concerned.

There's no need to complicate this bet. Germany, stacked with world class talent, should easily take care of their opponents and the Handicap line is correctly priced - but still worth backing.

My main tip is Germany -3 Handicap at 10/11 with BetMGM.

Netherlands vs Japan

The Netherlands will look to extend their three match unbeaten run against Japan in Dallas and their price looks too good to ignore.

Admittedly, recent friendlies have provided tough tests including Norway, Ecuador, Algeria and Uzbekistan, while Japan have only played Iceland on home soil in the last two months.

A cruel recent blow for Japan saw Wataru Endo injured and removed from the squad. A strange decision saw Hajime Moriyasu replace the Liverpool player with another forward, and now they head to the World Cup with just four natural midfielders.

This has given the Netherlands an opportunity to punish his mistake. Japan may not have lost since September 2025 (USA 2-0) but they've arguably not been truly tested since and they may just come up short against a Dutch side with plenty of options in attack.

The Netherlands will be physical and direct - and that might just catch Japan out.

My main tip is to back the Netherlands to win at 1/1 with BetMGM.

Sweden vs Tunisia

Goals so often feature when Sweden play with over 2.5 goals landing in five of their last six matches and over 3.5 also landing in five of those games too.

With Alexander Isak, Viktor Gyokeres and Gustaf Nilsson as their options in attack, Sweden will be confident they can break Tunisia's defence in Monterrey.

However, it's problems at the other end of the pitch which is why they have struggled for quite some time. With no clean sheet in 11 matches, including conceding twice or more in nine of those, Tunisia will fancy their chances of being another nation added to that extensive list.

The Africans, however, have their own defensive issues having shipped in five against Belgium in their final warm up match. That was their third match in a row they have drawn a blank but that doesn't worry me as much as it should.

Why? Because they found the back of the net vs Brazil at the end of 2025, fired three past Nigeria, Qatar and Uganda and will know this is a match they must likely win if they are to progress.

Both defences aren't great - but with Sweden's forwards on the pitch there may be value with the goal line.

Therefore, my main tip is over 2.5 goals at 11/10 with BetMGM.
