World Cup Betting Tips Today: Predictions & Best Bets for June 15th

Day five at the 2026 World Cup has lined up four appetising fixtures that features the favourites as well as the complete outsiders.

Saudi Arabia will face Uruguay in gruelling heat, Spain will look to kickstart their campaign with a win vs Cabo Verde while Iran and New Zealand will clash for three key points. The final match sees Belgium take on Egypt where a win could decide who finishes top of their group.

Our World Cup tipster Nathan Joyes has shared his analysis on all four matches as well as provided his best World Cup tips.

Saudi Arabia vs Uruguay

Saudi Arabia return to the world stage hoping to scalp another giant after famously beating Argentina four years ago. However, whether lightning will strike twice is another question and how well equipped they are for this match.

Uruguay arrive without having played a match since March but Marcelo Bielsa has stated his team is ready to fight and they won't be taking any chances within their group. Due to the lack of his minutes, Darwin Nunez may have to settle for a place on the bench, and without his goals, Bielsa's men may struggle to score as many as they'd like this summer with limited options in reserve.

Due to be played in Miami, it's set to be extremely hot when these two take to the field and that's likely to impact the action. Saudi, who drew with Senegal 0-0 in their final warm up match, might struggle once again to break down La Celeste's defence.

With this in mind, Uruguay may only need one goal to win this, but instead the unders have caught my eye. Heat + poor attacks may lead to limited chances.

Therefore, I'm sticking up under 2.5 goals at 8/11 with BetMGM.

Spain vs Cabo Verde

Spain kickstart their World Cup campaign as heavy favourites to beat Cabo Verde - but at 1/12, there has to be a better angle to tackle.

Despite arriving with just two wins to their name from their last five, Luis de la Fuente will have his team fit and firing from the first whistle and look to make a statement victory in round one.

Cabo Verde arrive on the back of two wins - both 3-0 - yet a weakened Serbia side and Bermuda aren't quite on the same level as the European champions.

A heavy 4-2 defeat against Chile at the FIFA Series another indication that Cabo Verde are going to mainly be looking at their fixture vs Saudi Arabia to qualify, and the pace of the Spaniards may just catch them out and highlight why they never made the World Cup when there were 32 nations.

My main tip is Spain -2.5 Handicap at 9/10 with BetMGM.

Iran vs New Zealand

Not much has gone Iran's way since winning their right to be at the World Cup but if their off-field issues don't impact them heavily on it, the Asians have an excellent chance of bagging three points against a poor New Zealand outfit.

Iran have prepared for the World Cup with fixtures against Costa Rica, Gambia and Mali. Perhaps not the most daunting opponents but they won them all comfortably, scoring 10 in the process.

New Zealand, on the other hand, were hammered 4-0 by Haiti before England strolled past them 1-0 with minimal fuss in the heat.

With Mehdi Taremi up top, Iran will be a threat and perhaps more up for it considering the hurdles they have had to endure to be here. And while New Zealand have Chris Wood, those in behind aren't up to delivering on this kind of stage.

Iran are just about odds-on, but their motivation and impressive qualifying campaign can get them over the line.

My main tip is to back the Iran to win at 5/6 with BetMGM.

Belgium vs Egypt

Belgium are expected to win Group G rather comfortably and up first will be their only real test. Having beaten USA, Croatia and Tunisia with relative ease in the build up to the World Cup, the Red Devils shouldn't have too many issues against an Egypt side that struggled vs Brazil.

Brazil, who were extremely poor vs Morocco in their opener, easily played through Egypt's defence and so Belgium shouldn't have too many issues.

They have a good record over Belgium, winning three of their four meetings, but this Belgium side is much better than the one when they first clashed 27 years ago.

Kevin de Bruyne, Jeremy Doku and Leandro Trossard will pose a threat to the African backline, while Charles De Ketelaere can pose a threat with Romelu Lukaku expected to start on the bench.

Sadly, Belgium are a short price but throw in over 1.5 match goals against a nation that has never won a World Cup match and you've put together an attractive bet builder.

Therefore, my main tip is Belgium to win and over 1.5 match goals at 11/10 with BetMGM.
