Hi, I’m David Cook, and I’ve got to know the iGaming industry very well over the last decade. I’ve always had a keen interest in stats, odds, games and writing, so it was always likely sports betting, casinos and media would be at the centre of my career. Once you get in, it can be very hard to leave! I’ve covered the industry as a journalist, where I was Editor of Gambling Insider, and also worked in PR for PartyPoker. For the last three years, I have freelanced on both the B2B and B2C sides of the industry, and wherever there is gaming content to be written, I’m in!

What do you do in your spare time?

You’ll often find me at a sporting event, at the cinema, finding a new walking spot in London or travelling around a new city.

What other sports interest you?

Aside from football, I’m an avid cricket fan and also follow tennis and baseball. With regards to the latter, I’ve now seen ¾ of the North American major leagues live, with just the NBA to go, so if anyone has an idea of which team I should go and see, let me know!

Do you have any other hobbies/ interests?

I’m a casual poker player (not consistently good enough to make it as a pro so covering the industry was the back up option!). I like to play live in casinos when I can.
