Hi, I’m Tom Winch. I’m 24 years old and have been writing for several years now. Football betting is my favourite topic. I believe that I have a good understanding of it. I’ve covered multiple leagues across many different continents. It’s always interesting to learn about obscure teams and nations. Despite enjoying other sports like Cricket and Tennis, I’ve watched less and less over the years. I guess that’s just part of ‘growing up’!

Favourite win so far?: I’ve had many big winning bets. I remember winning a 66/1 punt on two Spanish sides to both receive a red card, a beautiful punch up in injury time saw it over the line. My first winner was my first ever bet inside a bookies. It was around 140/1 with eight teams all winning, shame I only stuck £2 on it!
Fun Fact #1: I ran for my county (Kent) for a few years in cross-country when I was younger. I also played Cricket for Kent at a similar time.
Fun Fact #2: I’m left-footed and have played LWB for my football team for several seasons. It’s one of the most enjoyable positions on the pitch but arguably the hardest.
Fun Fact #3: I’ve visited Greece, Turkey, Spain and Egypt over the last couple of years. My first holiday was in Corfu, but I was too young to remember.

Soon after I turned 18, I was setting up many betting accounts. The 14-team accumulators seemed the ideal way to become rich, but evidently not! As the years have passed, I’ve realised that less is more. I rarely back anything more than a double or treble, which may seem dull but is the most profitable betting style.

I’ve played football since I can remember and currently play for my local Sunday league side. We won the League Cup in the 23/24 season on penalties. It was a successful end to the campaign. In April, I became a father for the first time. My daughter takes up most of my time, as you would expect. It’s a delightful feeling. It’ll be intriguing to see if she takes an interest in football.

Favourite TV Show?

Honestly, I don’t have an answer to that. I’ve never been one to get into a TV show, I’d rather watch a football match or another sport depending what’s on.

What Other Sports Interest You?

Cricket and Tennis are the main two. I always enjoy watching the Olympics as well. Nothing gets close to the beautiful game.

What Do You Do in Your Spare Time?

I don’t have a lot of spare time, being a father takes up plenty of that. I enjoy going out for a drink with friends and family and playing football.

Are you a Dog or Cat Person?

I’ve never had a dog but have had a cat when I was younger. So, I’d say more of a cat person.

Ideal Travel Destination?

Now this tough! Somewhere in the Caribbean must be a shout. Anywhere with sun, beer and a place to relax.
