Le Bandit Slot Review 2026Hacksaw Gaming

Smokey the raccoon has decided to let his more sinister side out in the Le Bandit slot, and you better get on the right side of him. If you’re not aware of this character or are yet to have come across him on your slot adventures using a UK online casino, Smokey is the creation that Hacksaw Gaming has created and run with across many titles.

The Le Bandit slot is just one of many instalments in which he undertakes a new persona, and this one provides many of the same features that can be found in many of the titles he features in. Still, if you need to get to grips with it before playing for real money, we strongly recommend playing the Le Bandit demo above, as there are a few things to understand…

How to play Le Bandit slot

Whisked away to a dark alley, Smokey appears to have transported us to a film noir setting, as the game’s visuals are familiar to something witnessed in the 1940s. Like many of his games, the playing grid uses a 6x5 format and a cluster-pays mechanic; this means a minimum of 8 identical icons is needed to trigger a payout. The maximum payouts occur when players land 13 or more matching symbols.

Speaking of the Le Bandit symbols, the paytable contains a range of low- and high-paying icons. The low-value options include the playing card values (10-A) and are followed by the trap, the cheese, the beer, and the baguettes, with the magician’s hat being the most rewarding.

As the game’s wild, a reward poster can land on the grid, while the polaroid camera is the game’s scatter.

Le Bandit Features

If you’ve played any of the other titles that revolve around Smokey, then you’ll be familiar with the Golden Squares feature. If not, strap in…

This feature triggers on each win, lighting up the squares involved. A rainbow symbol can appear, and if it is part of the cascade sequence, the Golden Squares turn into bronze, silver, and/or gold coins as the cascade ends. Pot of Gold and/or Four-Leaf Clover symbols can also appear:

• Bronze Coins - 0.2x, 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 3x, or 4x your stake.
• Silver Coins - 5x, 10x, 15x, or 20x your stake.
• Gold Coins - 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x, or 500x your stake.
• Four-Leaf Clover - boosts coins by x2, x3, x4, x5, or x10, on adjacent positions.

The Pot of Gold symbols only appear as the last icon to be activated; they absorb all Coins and other Pots of Gold. The Golden Squares feature continues until no further wins are possible.

In Le Bandit, there is a free spins bonus. You can trigger this by landing 3+ scatters, with 8 free spins awarded and Golden Squares remaining active on all spins until a rainbow symbol lands. If you land additional scatters, you will receive +2 or +4 extra spins from 2 or 3 scatters; land 4 scatters, and you’ll upgrade the bonus game to the next level.

This is known as the All That Glitters Is Gold Bonus Round, which comes with 12 free spins. Golden Squares remain active throughout, while 5 scatters will activate the Treasure At The End Of The Rainbow Bonus Round. A total of 12 free spins are awarded, Golden Squares remain active, and a rainbow symbol is guaranteed on each spin, with Bronze Coins removed.

Le Bandit RTP

The Le Bandit RTP depends on where the game is played. It can be as high as 96.34%, but it can also be as low as 88.36% elsewhere. The volatility level is medium, with 10,000x the maximum win.

Le Bandit Verdict

Our Le Bandit review found that this game is worth a try if you enjoy the series from Hacksaw Gaming. We would suggest that there are other titles featuring Smokey that may be more enjoyable because they offer more in terms of bonuses or maximum win, but this one is still worth a shot.

If you want to test it, remember to try out the Le Bandit free play version at the top of the page; this can be a great way to see if you like it and to learn what the Golden Squares feature is all about, especially if you’re thinking of other titles featuring everyone’s favourite raccoon.
