How to play Le Fisherman

The game is played on a 6x5 grid, which uses a cluster-pays mechanic. A win is triggered when you match at least 5OAK together, although a maximum win can be earned when 12+ of the same symbol appear on the grid in a winning sequence. That maximum payout could be 100x the bet. All wins will cause those symbols to disappear and be replaced with new ones until the process can no longer continue.
A range of symbols appear on the paytable with varying payout values; the 10-A card symbols are the lowest-paying, with the hats, floats, hooks, anchors, and fish following in value. There are wilds that can appear on the grid, substituting for all regular icons and helping to complete winning combinations where possible.
Le Fisherman Features
There are four bonus features available in this game, all of which can be triggered and tested in the Le Fisherman demo play version of the title.
The Golden Squares feature is perhaps the most infamous of them, with Hacksaw Gaming using it before in many of the series’ other titles. It has been one of the key reasons for the series’ popularity, and it’s great that it's included once again.
For those new to it, the Golden Squares feature will turn all squares where winning symbols once appeared into gold. If a Rainbow symbol appears in one of them, the Golden Square will be activated and reveal special symbols. These are Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Diamond Coins; Green or Gold Clover symbols; Buckets; or Global Bucket symbols. If an Epic Rainbow symbol appears, special symbols will appear in all Golden Square positions.
Buckets can collect the value of the coin symbols that appear in adjacent 3x3 squares; new special symbols will appear once again once they have been collected, and this process will continue until no new wins.
A free spins game is also available in Le Fisherman, with 10 On Thin Ice free spins being triggered when landing 3 scatters. It keeps the base game mechanics, but the Golden Squares become progressive, meaning they remain on the grid for the duration of the free spins until activated by a Rainbow symbol. A Big Catch bar is visible and will determine the special symbol based on its level (which is increased by +1 for each scatter that lands). Each level unlocked will award 5 free spins.
Landing 4 scatters provides free spins in the Slippery When Wet Bonus game. The mechanics remain the same as above, but Golden Squares remain active throughout the whole free spins round, even when they’ve been activated.
