Ugga Bugga slot is a classic slot game from the award-winning software developer juggernaut, Playtech. This particular slot lands the user in the heart of the African jungle, indulging them in tribal life as they try to win big.
This is a truly unique game that offers the user a chance to win ten times for each bet placed; an excellent hold feature that lets you have one of three slots stay the same for each of the ten attempts to win.
For those of you who are ready to drop into the deep African jungle that Ugga Bugga slot offers, the game can be found at the following sites:
There are also sites online where you can find Ugga Bugga free play/demo slot sites and learn how it works!
Having tried the Ugga Bugga demo, it’s actually quite unique for slots online UK, as it is a 3x1 slot with only one payline. During the game, you actually play in two phases with ten different 3x1 games, which gives you essentially ten chances to hit a combination that pays out.
First, you spin the first 3x1 slot to show three symbols. From here, you have the option to hold the symbols that show, and these then appear in the same spot for the other nine slots. Finally, you spin once more to spin the remaining nine slots, which will give you a payout if you land on a winning combination.
Ugga Bugga slot isn't a progressive slot game, which means there are no free spins or bonus rounds. That said, there are both wild and scatter symbols. The warrior symbol pays out any time you land at least one symbol in a section. The wild symbol can take the place of any symbol bar the scatter symbol. While this is nothing more than a simple multiplier, the expanding hold feature of the game allows you to hold both warrior and wild symbols, allowing multiple wins per game.
There are four different base groups of symbols in the game, namely:
Within each group are also three different variations:
Each individual game is done on a coin basis, and you can adjust your coin’s value from 0.01 to 1.00 and then place between 1-5 coins per bet. With a 10x bet multiplier for each bet, this sets the minimum and maximum bets at £0.10 to £50.00 per bet, respectively.
The pay table of the Ugga Bugga slot operates by having categories and colours, and you need to land at least three of the same category for a payout. This minimum allows 2x for food bowls, up to 75x for masks. A combination of any of the same category and colour offers the big payouts, from the lowest 3 orange food bowls offering 5x bet to 3 black masks offering 125x bet payouts. The other ways to win include the wild idol, which offers 1,000x bet for three, and any combination of masks and drums for a 5x bet payout. Finally, the warrior scatter symbol pays out 5x bet for three, 2x bet for two and 1x bet for 1, should they appear.
As mentioned, the Ugga Bugga free play is a game that is set in the African jungle, with a tribal theme. Despite the vivid theme, the animation, graphics and soundtrack leave a lot to be desired. The soundtrack isn't much more than a loop of jungle sounds and music, while some of the symbols appear to be a bit outdated, with the warrior symbol particularly concerning, to put it politely. As for the animations, there isn't much beyond basic spinning of the symbols, which almost feels lazy on the developer’s end.
There is a brilliant Ugga Bugga slot RTP of 99.0%, making it not just the highest RTP of any Playtech online slot game, but one of the highest of any slot game out there, easily eclipsing games such as the Wild West Gold slot RTP, or even the impressive Vikings slot.
Ugga Bugga slot has a “low” volatility rating, which essentially means it tends to result more in recurring small wins and rarer large wins. This is a mark against the game, which has seen many dismiss it in favour of other slot games. That said, other features of the game, like the two-phase game mode, certainly makes up for this.
Unfortunately, there isn't currently an Ugga Bugga demo or free play available on mobile devices, as it's exclusively a desktop-only slot game. While this puts it behind other games, such as the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire demo, this isn't a major deal-breaker.
Ugga Bugga is another online slot game from Playtech that offers something unique to the user, compared to other slots. The hold feature, as well as the 3x1 slots in ten different games, allows the user to make continuous solid returns, with the odd occasion of a big win. The graphics leave a lot to be desired, but if you look past that, overall this is an interesting game to try.
