Gamebookers is an online gaming site that was founded in 1998 - making it one of the longest-standing online bookmakers. In fact, Gamebookers was the first online betting website to give its customers the opportunity to sell bets back to the house (now commonly known as cashing out), and one of the first to offer a free SMS results and scores service. So you can see that Gamebookers was once both an experienced and innovative online gaming website.
However, since GVC Holdings procured Gamebookers from Bwin in 2016, the online bookmaker’s reputation has been somewhat negatively impacted. GVC Holdings are also responsible for other online betting websites including Bwin, Coral and Ladbrokes, Foxy Casino, Party Poker, and Sportingbet, to name a few; and are therefore a heavyweight in the online betting industry themselves. This makes Gamebookers’ recent mixed reviews unexpected and unfortunate.
Gamebookers is licensed by the Government of Gibraltar and regulated by the Gibraltar Gambling Commission; and its provider, ElectraWorks Limited, is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission.
Unfortunately, although there is reportedly a Gamebookers free bet regularly available through their Free Bet Mania promotion, it is impossible to find any information about it on the website. In this review, we’ll explore the details of this and any other Gamebookers promotions that may be on offer. We’ll also discuss any terms and conditions or restrictions that you’ll need to consider.
As already stated, there is apparently a Gamebookers free bet available for UK customers at the present time with the Gamebookers Bonus Code . However, much like the Dafabet free bet, when you finally manage to find the website’s promotions page, there is absolutely nothing there. It prompts you to register or sign in to see personalised promotions, but even with an account, all you get is a statement that (ironically) promises constant promotion updates. Yet even with this empty promotions page, there are many reports of four ongoing promotions somewhere on the Gamebookers website (two for their sportsbook and two for their casino). Although it is frustratingly unclear whether all of these promotions are in fact available, we will briefly touch upon each of them as best we can.
For Gamebookers Sports there is the Free Bet Mania promotion already mentioned, as well as Tip Mania. As part of their Free Bet Mania offer, customers who make qualifying bets each day will receive a free bet of up to £50. This free bet will be automatically credited to your account at the end of the daily round.
Tip Mania - which we were eventually able to find evidence of on the website after using a web search engine - is a semi-weekly chance to win prizes (the website advertises the possibility of winning as much as £10,000). You have to correctly predict the results of at least six out of ten football matches to be in with a chance of winning.
As for Gamebookers Casino, the two promotions are Happy Days and Lucky Spins. Lucky Spins is quite straightforward: you can get up to 200 free spins every day depending on how much you’ve already wagered, starting with a minimum of £10. Happy Days involves a special offer for every day of the week. These are as follows:
As you can see, these incentives are relatively poor, and most require you to lose. If you are a new or inexperienced customer searching for the best online bookmakers to build your bankroll with minimal risk, it is unlikely that Gamebookers is the site for you.
Even if this online gaming site doesn’t offer the best bonus offers around, a Gamebookers free bet is still an advantage to any new or existing player, as it is basically a free chance to win real money on a site with competitive odds. In general, free bets are useful if you are shopping around to find a particular online betting website that is right for you.
You can use the bonus money you receive from the Free Bet Mania promotion to place another wager in the sportsbook. The best thing about this promotion is that there aren’t any limits on what kind of bet you can place with it. If you win Tip Mania, you will receive either a free bet or prize money, depending on how many results you correctly predict. There are no wagering requirements on the free cash, so you can use that to bet with or simply withdraw it.
With the Gamebookers Casino promotions, free spins are basically free bets specifically for slot games and are therefore a great chance to win money without any risk. Boosts on winnings, like you can get on Mondays and Thursdays with the Happy Days promotion, literally just mean you win more money; and cashback incentives are the opposite, meaning you lose less.
Here we’ll go into detail about what you may need to consider if you are thinking of taking advantage of the current sportsbook and casino promotions that Gamebookers has to offer, as well as any bonuses that may be on offer in the future - though that is unlikely given the site’s recent track record.
The Free Bet Mania offer is useful in the fact you can take advantage of it every day if you so wish. The terms are also standard when compared to similar bonus offers on the market, so there is not much you need to consider for this promotion.
As for Tip Mania, the website advertises that you can win £10,000 per week. A short scroll down the dedicated promotion page gets you to the prize breakdown, and it seems you only receive £5,000 for getting all 10 correct - so the only chance you have of winning the £10,000 advertised is if you are able to win the top prize twice in a single week. Tip Mania is played in rounds, which usually lasts between 3 and 9 days - so although possible to win £10,000 in a single week, it is very unlikely.
In terms of Gamebookers Casino, 200 daily free spins are probably the most useful incentive Gamebookers has to offer. However, the free spins are only eligible for the Book of Horus slot game. The Happy Days promotion isn’t really worthwhile unless you play the specific games relating to the offer.

In this section we will delve into the requirements and restrictions of the promotions discussed above, and how best to navigate around them in order to make the most of your bonus offers.
We’ve already mentioned that the specific requirements for the Free Bet Mania promotion are standard when compared to the average bonus offer on the market. There are, as always, a couple of restrictions that are worth taking into account before you decide to take advantage of this offer. For example, only multi-bets with more than two selections that are wagered with real cash qualify - and only if the combined odds are 1.50 (1/2) or higher. Also, each daily round takes place between 06:00–05:59 GMT. Only bets made in this window are eligible. And finally, once you do receive your Gamebookers free bet, you have only 24 hours to use it.
With the Tip Mania promotion, you can make one prediction every day, but be aware that every prediction has to be confirmed by placing any bet for real money on the same day, otherwise your prediction won’t count towards this promotion. You can only win one prize during each round, and only the most successful prediction counts. If two or more players correctly predict 9 or all 10 matches correctly within the same round, then they will share the respective prize. Finally, each free bet is valid for seven days after you receive it.
As for the Happy Days promotion, the wagering requirements for most days are 10x. The only exception is the 10 free spins each Friday, which have a wagering requirement of 35x. This means if you win £100 using these free spins, you must stake £3500 before you can withdraw your winnings. All wagering requirements must be fulfilled within seven days.
As previously mentioned, in recent years Gamebookers has seriously regressed in terms of the bonus offers and promotions that it offers to both new and existing customers, even going so far as to discard their loyalty and rewards program. We have discussed all of the promotions currently available at Gamebookers (albeit we couldn’t find conclusive evidence of all of them on the bookmaker’s website), and it is highly unlikely that there will be any more bonus offers in the foreseeable future - regardless of what their empty promotion page promises.
