Welcome! I’m James and I’d consider myself a sports betting fanatic who likes a little spin on the roulette wheel, too.
I’ve spent a number of years working in some capacity across the sporting world - whether that be coaching, playing, or writing - and have loved every minute. After leaving school, I opted to become a personal trainer and football coach where I managed to meet and train Team GB athletes, England women's youth players, Premier league academies, and a whole host of interesting characters along the way.
Alongside a fairly sports-dominated working life, I have also competed in various bodybuilding shows and CrossFit competitions, have played soccer at the academy level and spent time inside the cage/ring. Over this time, it’s become clear that American football, rugby, boxing, and soccer are where my knowledge and passion align. I have also developed an interest in gaming over recent years, influenced particularly by the pandemic forcing me to spend more time indoors than I would usually. Me being me, that interest naturally developed into a fascination for esports as well!
Despite enjoying my active work/life balance, I’m a Leicester City, Leicester Tigers, and Cincinnati Bengals fan, meaning I’ve had plenty of heartbreaks along the way, too. In truth, all that has taught me is to avoid backing my beloved teams at all costs.
Speaking of sports betting, you’ll often find me creating over 1.5 soccer accumulators or piecing together tasty anytime touchdown trebles. I’m a big stat-man who loves to number crunch, focusing on the EPL, SPL, Bundesliga, Serie A, National Leagues, and International fixtures - any excuse to get the vuvuzelas out!
Although clearly a fan of accumulators, my biggest win came at the roulette table (£2,350) - much to the disappointment of my friends who had opted to visit a local casino instead that evening. As luck would have it, a combination of numbers 4, 18, 21, 35, and 36 would see me become the only one to end the night with a positive balance. Safe to say, those numbers have embedded themselves in my roulette strategies ever since.
