The Derby looks wide open this year and you could make a strong case for a fair few in the line up at this point. The one that it is hard to make a case for though is the 7/4 favourite City Of Troy! He was an absolute blowout in the Guineas over a mile and you would need to see a huge revival of form if he is to get anywhere near winning a guineas. I know Ballydoyle managed to pull off the same feat with Auguste Rodin but that by no mean suggest City Of Troy will be able to do the same, they are two 'very' different horses. City Of Troy may have been awesome as a 2yo but it is a possibility that he just hasn't trained on as a 3yo and if you are taking the 7/4 about him, you are putting a of of trust in not only a revival, but also an improved performance when he steps up another half mile....
