Welcome back once again racing fans. With just four sleeps to go before the epic event that is the Cheltenham Festival gets started, I feel it’s time to review the ante post selections I’ve been putting up during this season’s Countdown to Cheltenham series.
Not wishing to blow my own trumpet too loudly, but ante post betting is definitely an area in which I excel. Of my original 11 selections, nine are definitely running in their intended races. In a nutshell, we have a number of excellent value bets, on what are now very short-priced horses.
That leaves us in an exceptionally strong position heading into this year’s Cheltenham Festival. And if it goes anything like last year, just one winner will more than cover the bets we’ve already placed throughout the series. What more can you ask for?
The biggest price I’ve put up this year is a 40/1 shot that now goes to the Cheltenham Festival with a Favorites chance and some of the other selections are now as short as 6/4, so I’ve definitely found the value. I’ll even go so far as to say that you won’t be able to find a stronger ante post book anywhere on social media.
The selection that I think is currently in the strongest position would have to be Impervious in the Mares Chase. I put her up at 14/1, she is now the clear Favorite and looks like she will stay that way. I’m really looking forward to seeing her get the job done in just a week’s time. particularly hard to pass.
Marine Nationale is another selection that holds superb value. He was 20/1 when advised, but he has been supported every week since winning the Royal Bond and is now 7/2 second Favorite to get our Festival off to a flying start.
Ashroe Diamond is another that has an outstanding chance this year. If you’ve been following me, you will have a juicy 8/1 bet on this super mare. I think she’ll take all the beating in the Mares Novice Hurdle this year. She takes on the smart Luccia but that one has only ran twice this season and isn’t exactly the most professional-looking type on track, despite her class. My instinct says that Ashroe Diamond gets her head down and will finish in front next Thursday.
I really hope you’ve enjoyed the Countdown to Cheltenham series this year and if you are planning on getting stuck in at Cheltenham, then don’t forget to check out all of the free bets offers and deals that are around right now.
