Fulham welcome Chelsea to Craven Cottage on monday night and the home team will definitely be the happier of the two with how they have started this season. Fulham are currently in 11th on 8 points, whilst Chelsea are sat 3 points back in 14th after six games and both teams will be in search of three points here. Fulham have started this season in really good form and are going to be feeling good about their chances at home, whilst Chelsea have already lost three games and need to find a little bit of form if they are going to take the three points back to Stamford Bridge. Despite Fulham being in better form, they have opened up as the 13/5 second favourites and Chelsea are the favourites at even money, but that even money tag does feel risky with their current form. I think there is some good value on offer here but before we go onto the betting tips, let’s take a look at the seasons so far.

Fulham have started this season pretty well and have played some really good football in the process. They have won two beating Everton on the opening day, but also had a result against Luton at home to go with two draws, and two losses. If you watch the way they play they aren;t very flashy, but they move the ball round well and will pick up plenty of points this season if they continue this style of football. Chelsea have only managed to get 5 points from their opening six games and they will need to start putting in some big performances. They don't want to lose any more ground on the top four but they are making things very difficult for themselves at present.
In the last 5 meetings between these two teams Fulham have lost 3, drawn 1 and won 1, but the game they won did come here last season, so that will give them some form of confidence heading into this game. Not that they necessarily need it though, as they have started really well and the positive football definitely gives them a chance against this Chelsea side, who could do with finding some form quickly. This is another game this weekend where the odds don’t really match the current form and this could be a tight game on Monday evening.
Chelsea come into this game as even money favourites, but I can’t see how that appeals with their current form. They have plenty of depth to their squad, but the football has been far from pretty and they have looked unusually vulnerable in defence also. Fulham however have been playing some solid all round football and have looked like a much better team already this season and seemingly quite tough to break down too. I think we could be in with somewhat an upset this week and I am keen to take Chelsea on with Fulham here who at 13/5, represent some really good value against Chelsea in their current form. If Fulham start the game fast, not only can I see them winning, but I could see them scoring plenty, and I think at 33/1, A Fulham win 3-1 is a really good bet.
