So, the Flat season is well and truly underway and undeniably there is a pretty decent week of racing at Chester. However, I have found a few beauties for you to take a look at over the Jumps this Wednesday and I am particularly sweet on my NAP selection for the day too.
The way I choose my selections is by pricing up the races myself and I definitely feel I have found three horses that are overpriced for tomorrow to my way of thinking. Thereās just one outstanding runner at Kelso, then two more selections for the evening meeting at Fontwell. And it must be said - Iām feeling lucky!
With a day full of horse racing action, there is no better way to start it than with some free bets and one of my favourite offers out there right now comes courtesy of Ladbrokes. Free bets help you to spend as little as possible, whilst trying to win as much as possible, so surely a Bet Ā£5, get Ā£20 in Free Bets offer is the ideal way to do just that!
My first selection of the day is also my NAP and he comes in the name of Boomslang trained by Rebecca Menzies. He is a horse that travels very nicely, is clearly on the up and he comes into Handicap company off a very workable mark. He may be top weight in the field here, but his opponents are largely a bunch of exposed horses and thereās a few in this race that you could label as one-paced.
On the other hand, Boomslang seems to have plenty of gears and I think he will improve for the step back up in trip to 2m 4f. He has run three times over 2 miles and ran very well to place in two of those, each time making it clear that he needs further to bring out his true potential. He also ran a decent race last time out, finishing sixth to Etalon, a decent Dan Skelton horse.
This horse looks almost certain to improve again on his Handicap debut here and has been freshened up nicely for the run too. I expect a great effort again from Boomslang in a race where I've already mentioned there are a few runners who donāt see a finish out too well.
Pawpaw is a very likeable horse who always goes nicely for Caoilin Quinn. I think if they revert to hold up tactics, we could see another big run him here. He won at Hereford on his penultimate start when wearing a visor. Caoilin gave him a great ride that day, coming through right from the back to win by eight lengths.
He didnāt seem quite the same last time out when the visor was replaced by cheekpieces, but I donāt think the good ground did him any favours that day either. So, with the visor back in place, a bit of cut in the ground and a slightly reduced trip, he could run a very big race again here at Fontwell.
I expected Mays Hill to be Favourite for this race, but the fact she is priced at 3/1 has really tempted me in. Fergal OāBrien works wonders with his Bumper horses and this one has shown plenty of ability too. She ran a great debut race at Lingfield to finish third before finding the good ground at Newbury a little too much to handle.
That being said, she came up against some really good horses last time out and stayed on well. She is another that should appreciate the cut in the ground and clearly has the best form on offer. Mays Hill has to go close in this and I have her down as the one to beat.
Here is todayās video for your enjoyment, thanks for watching.
I just want to say a really big thank you to all of you that have taken the time to read through my betting tips for tomorrowās racing. I am hoping for a good day at the office!
Whilst you're here, donāt forget to take a look at all of the offers here on Betting.co.uk we have plenty for you to choose from and thereās nothing we love more than winning off the back of free bets!
