A banker is a bet which is supposed to see the heavy favourite win the game or race.

This can be seen as a very safe bet. One that should have no problems in coming in - although we know that is not always the case.

A banker is a bet you have no worries about. The odds are not great on a banker bet, but they are normally used in combination bets or accumulators. Some punters add it to boost the odds up as well as having a leg that has a better chance than most of being a winner.
