As the regular season concludes, the fans of teams competing in the postseason finally believe their team can go all the way. This is true for fans in the States but also fans in the UK, looking to take advantage of Super Bowl betting and hoping to see their team across the pond secure a ring.
We’re going to look at the current favourites to lift the Lombardi trophy with the best UK bookmakers - including our number one provider - Betfred.
The consensus favourites to win the Super Bowl are the Green Bay Packers.
The Cheeseheads are the only team to secure a first-round bye as of writing, and the NFC road to the Super Bowl will go through Lambeau.
Therefore, they are priced at 7/2 with Betfred - ahead of both the Kansas City Chiefs and the reigning Super Bowl champion Buccaneers.
The Packers are helped by quarterback Aaron Rodgers playing at an MVP-level - reflected in his 1/5 odds with LeoVegas.
He has been efficient with the football, 35 touchdowns to four interceptions in the season, and throwing for just under 4,000 yards. If Rodgers can heal up from his toe injury over the bye, the Packers are clear favourites to be NFL champions.
Currently, the second favourite, the Kansas City Chiefs are always a safe bet to make a deep run in the postseason.
They arguably have the best quarterback in football - Patrick Mahomes - and before last week's loss to the Bengals, they had strung together an impressive winning streak.
But the Chiefs haven’t secured a first-round bye. That spot is currently occupied by the Tennessee Titans, but if results go their way, the AFC going through Arrowhead could affect their odds.
They are currently 9/2 with Betfred without a bye week - expect this to change after Sunday’s results.
The third favourites are the reigning Super Bowl Champions, Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
They are 15/2 with Betfred to lift the Lombardi, but with Tom Brady, anything is possible. The seven-time Super Bowl winner carried the Bucs to the Super Bowl last year and he could very well do it again.
One problem. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers won’t have the luxury of a bye-week. They are cemented in as division winners, so they’ll get at least one home game - depending on their final seeding after Sunday.
Buffalo Bills - 15/2 (Currently the AFC 4 seed/ Can secure division with a win on weekend)
Los Angeles Rams - 15/2 (Currently the NFC 2 seed/ secure this spot with a victory)
Tennessee Titans - 11/1 (Currently the AFC 1 seed/ secure a bye-week with a win on the weekend)
New England Patriots - 14/1 (Currently the AFC 5 seed/ win division with a win and BUF loss)
Dallas Cowboys - 14/1 (Currently NFC 4 seed)
Cincinnati Bengals - 16/1 (Currently AFC 3 seed)
Arizona Cardinals - 18/1 (Currently NFC 5 seed/ win the division if they beat LAR)
