The biggest Apex Legends pro tournament of the year, the Global Series Championship, has already started. Teams have already been dropped, although the most important and thrilling part of the event is still waiting in the corner. We’re talking about the Finals, of course, and if you haven’t been part of the fun until now, just know that we’re all yet to witness the culmination of Apex’s most prestigious tournament. Let’s take a look at what’s about to go down.
Winner’s Bracket Favourites
We’re at the Winner’s Bracket right now, where the top 20 finishers from the Group Stage will go on a royal rumble to secure a solid footing in the Finals. The event will resume at 5 p.m. GMT. In the meantime, which teams exactly are we expecting to pass and skip the Loser’s Bracket Round 2?
OpTic Gaming
OpTic Gaming joined the Apex Legends pro scene on the 28th of April this year and started speedrunning their way to the top. They made their mark at the ALGS: 2022 Split 2 Playoffs, where they finished 2nd in the Group Stage and 1st in the Winner’s Bracket.
It’s hard to say that OpTic Gaming is above all the other NA teams though, especially when Team Liquid, TSM, and NRG are around. Most of the time it appears they’re all just equal, with luck probably influencing the difference in results. However, while all of these teams have countlessly delivered with the way they perform, we reckon OpTic Gaming has shown the most consistency in the shortest amount of time.
OpTic Gaming’s players include William “SkittleCakes” August, Logan “Knoqd” Layou, and Ira “dooplex” Shepherd (Captain), with SkittleCakes and dooplex playing together since the beginning of their careers. Before OpTic, they won a lot of A-Tier and B-Tier events, which proves how much they’ve developed their chemistry. Then Knoqd came from Cloud9, and things took off even more from there.
Now, the team is working their magic on the world stage, securing 3rd place in the Group Stage. The more they win, the more it seems that luck isn’t the force separating them from the rest of the pack. If you want to know how to bet on Apex Legends properly, we’ve reviewed the

DarkZero Esports
We can’t forget about the winner of the ALGS: 2022 Split 2 Playoffs, right? Well, at least, the players that made up the roster. Former Reignite members Rick “Sharky” Wirth, Noyan “Genburten” Ozkose, and Rhys “Zer0” Perry (Captain) are now playing for DarkZero Esports.
In the Group Stage, this fresh team finished in 13th place, scoring higher than C9 and LG. Nobody knows for sure if they can keep winning tournaments with their new team or how much the transition will affect their performance, but so far, it’s going swimmingly for them.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t find legitimate betting sites that offer DarkZero odds. Perhaps when it comes to betting on Apex tournaments, 2022 isn’t still prepared. This makes sense since the Apex pro scene is a relatively new one. Feel free to keep visiting the

Loser’s Bracket Favourite
Alliance
It came as a surprise to many when Alliance didn’t make it to the Top 20 in the Group Stage. With Alliance players Simon “Vaifs” Bellini, Ming-Liang Oscar “Yuki” Jiang, and John “Hakis” Håkansson, the team has been a leader among the other elite European Apex teams. But before the doubters could make a tweet, they immediately recorrected their course by dominating Round 1 of the Loser’s Bracket, where they finished 1st place.
This raises expectation levels to normal, and it’s almost guaranteed that the team won’t let small fries in the Loser’s Bracket steal their ticket to glory. The Loser’s Bracket Round 2 will commence after the Winner's Bracket has been settled. Will they get their second chance as everyone believes or will they stumble the second time?
Apex Tournaments 2022: ALGS Conclusion
The betting markets of a battle royale (BR) game are always tricky. Going back to the early days of PlayerUknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), most esports betting sites had to absorb the new game dynamics first before they could add it to their collection, much less produce lucrative betting offers relevant to it.
Yet while legitimate bookies (even the best ones) don’t offer Apex Legends betting at the moment, it’s a good idea for its future punters to take interest in what’s going on in the pro scene today.
