Our Banker of the Week looks at a short priced betting option from the upcoming fixtures that has an excellent chance of landing a win.
Our Banker of the Week for this week is…Liverpool to score 2+ goals v Real Madrid 9/10 with FansBet
Despite Sunday’s heartbreaking ending to the Premier League season, this has been a vintage year for Liverpool and they are in scintillating form. Any squad containing attacking threats such as Mo Salah, Sadio Men, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota and Roberto Firminio is going to be very hard to stop, especially with the likes of Thiago pulling the strings behind.
Aside from a poor first half in Villarreal, Liverpool have cruised through the Champions League knockout stage. Jurgen Klopp has got his squad in top gear despite the gruelling campaign and they will be confident of making it three cup wins for the season.
Madrid have had a far trickier route to the final. Coming back from the brink against PSG, Chelsea and Manchester City has demonstrated their remarkable determination, but question marks still remain over their overall quality. There are world class players in their ranks, but Luka Modric and Toni Kross form an aging midfield duo that could be overrun by Liverpool’s high octane game. In addition, their backline can be exposed by pace - as was evidenced by City’s dominated display in the home leg of the semi final.
You can never discount Carlo Ancelotti’s team, but they will need to be at the very top of their game to prevail on Saturday.
Given their journey to the final, it would be foolish to completely write off a Madrid victory. But it is very hard to see them stopping Liverpool from scoring. Given the wealth of attacking riches at Klopp’s disposal and the question marks over the Real backline, we think the odds of 9/10 on the Reds scoring at least twice are extremely appealing.
