On Wednesday evening we have a Jumps card at Kelso and there is a runner in the Handicap Chase who really takes my fancy. He has a very good record when fresh and the way this race is set up tactically, should help him be seen to best effect.
I only have one selection for Wednesday, and there is nothing that shines out for Thursday. However, there is some fantastic racing upcoming on Friday, and on Saturday I’ll be covering the Group racing at Newbury, so there will be plenty more betting tips to come towards the end of the week.
I also have some stable tours coming your way, which have been recorded in readiness for the 2024/25 Jumps season. You’ll find plenty of information about the latest National Hunt stars, so keep your eyes peeled for those.
With just one betting tip for Wednesday, it’s the perfect time to pick up some free bets from BetMGM. If you bet £10, you’ll get £40 in free bets. Why not give it a try?
My only selection for Wednesday evening runs in the Handicap Chase, and this looks all set to turn into a real tactical battle. Restandbethankful is a nice horse, who won well at Cartmel last time out, and he should make his presence felt again here. Garde Des Champs is another with a decent chance on a going day, and I expect to see these two head the betting. However, both of these runners like to race from the front and I think this could just set up nicely for my selection.
I’ll be backing the Lucinda Russell-trained Mint Gold here. He has raced prominently on occasion, but doesn’t mind being held up either. Plus, he has a really good record when racing fresh. There is plenty I like about his style of racing - he stays well, has plenty of speed and the fact that he jumps well too is the icing on the cake. I think Restandbethankful and Garde Des Champs will be fighting for the lead here, which should suit Mint Gold very nicely. I expect him to run a big race here and be bang there at the finish.
