We have another good day of racing at Cheltenham tomorrow and I have two standout selections for you to take a look at. We had a decent day yesterday, with Doyen Quest winning for the Skelton team and giving us our profit for the day.
Next up, I have two lovely mares lined up for us tomorrow, and both are in with a huge chance. Then at the weekend we have a truly action-packed card at Ayr and I’m busy putting a Lucky 15 together for you as we speak, so don't forget to stay tuned in for that.
You really can’t fault this straightforward free bet deal from Coral. All you need to do is
bet £5, and you’ll get £20 in free bets. It’s definitely worthy of a look guys.
In the opener we have some really nice types lining up and make no mistake, this is a very competitive race. An interesting contender, who runs for Willie Mullins, is Karia Des Blaises, who fell in the Boodles at Cheltenham last month, before disappointing in a Grade 2 at Fairyhouse. However, this is a much easier race and he has a chance, but he’s pretty hard to weigh up based on form. Majestic Jameela is another nice horse who has been targeted for this race, following on from her win at Uttoxeter, and is another that’s likely to come into the equation.
The one I fancy here though is
Evening’s Empire
who is very much unexposed and steps into Handicap company for the first time. She has won on the Flat and has also run respectably enough over Hurdles, albeit in defeat, making her well-handicapped for her run here at Cheltenham.
Her Irish connections aren’t known for bringing runners over the water, so it’s highly likely she has been targeted for this race. And given this fast surface, her finishing pace may well prove too strong for her rivals.
Next up we have the Mares’ Handicap Chase, where Juniper is looking to make it three wins on the spin. Despite her good form, my issue with her is that she is 12 lbs higher than when she went close in this race last year, and that is quite a hike in weight. Although she has Harry Cobden on board to help her cause, she really isn’t well-handicapped here.
So, the one I will side with is Moviddy for Noel Williams, who has been steadily progressive. On her latest start, when she was stepped up to three miles, she found it a bit too much, but this drop back to 2m 4f will most likely see her progress again and I see her firmly in the mix here off her current mark. She generally travels well and is a reliable jumper too, so she has plenty going for her here.
