We have a great day of racing lined up for Thursday racing fans and I have two bets that I think are standout at Ludlow. Both are highly promising young Hurdlers that I think will be going places in the future.
But for me, the main event tomorrow is the meeting at Clonmel over in Ireland where Maskada, one of my ante post selections, makes her seasonal debut in the Mares’ Chase at 14:15 and then at 14:50 we have the return of Allaho in the Clonmel Oil Chase. I will most certainly be keeping a close eye on the pair of them.
My good friends at CopyBet have given us a fantastic offer for new customers, which is a £5 free bet with no deposit needed to claim it. Don’t miss out on this deal!
For Ludlow, I have two selections that I think will take all the beating. The first runs for the Milton Harris team in the Juvenile Hurdle and I also fancy Nicky Henderson's only runner in the Novice Hurdle. Both are extremely promising candidates at Ludlow on Thursday, so hopefully we can have a good day at the office.
This Juvenile hurdle could turn out to be a decent race and there’s plenty of potential amongst some of the newcomers. However, the two that hold the most interest here are both previous winners.
Book Of Tales won nicely on debut at Fontwell, but he was somewhat disappointing on the Flat next time out, so I do have reservations where he is concerned. On the other hand, the Milton Harris candidate, Balboa, ticks all of my boxes. He has progressed in all of his three starts so far, and even though he has a penalty here, I think he will be very hard to beat. He put on a very decent performance last time out at Chepstow, on heavy ground and he’s certain to have improved again for that, so Balboa is the only bet for me.
The Novice hurdle at Ludlow could turn out to be an interesting race if The Doyen Chief takes to Hurdles for Alan King, but I believe that Choccabloc for Nicky Henderson will take a lot of beating here.
He was good in Bumpers and he was narrowly beaten on his Hurdles debut, but he was strong all the way through to the finishing line and the step up in trip here looks likely to suit him. He’s likely to be short here, but I think he represents the best value you’re going to find in this race.
