We’re a little bit short of decent Jumps meetings this weekend, but that's understandable with Punchestown and Chepstow just round the corner. Nevertheless I do have two hot betting tips for you over at Fontwell.
I have also just recorded my first Ante Post video of the season, which features 25 different tipsters and pundits, who have come together to bring you their early selections for the 2024 Cheltenham Festival. I’ll be posting the video and synopsis for you very soon.
I have a cracking offer here, kindly provided by BetUK. All you need to do is to bet £10 and you will be credited with £30 in free bets when your initial bet has settled
After a close look at today’s racing action, I’ve decided to head back over to Fontwell once again. I've managed to find twovery decent selections, which I hope will bring us a bit of profit.
There are just the five runners for this Handicap Chase, with some nice types to take a closer look at. Guy heads the betting for the Twiston-Davies team and he does have a nice profile, but he will need to be in tip-top condition to win here and he may just find one too good on his first outing since May.
Fairway Freddy isn’t getting the respect he deserves from the bookies at a double-figure price. He has some good form in the book and the Gifford team are going well in the early stages of this season. But I think the one to side with here is Master Dancer.
He is a very decent mover and even though his last two efforts were poor, he won well at Stratford this time last year and followed that up by running a big race in a deep Handicap at Cheltenham. He is only six years old and still learning, but he finishes well and going back over fences is likely to be the making of him.
My second betting tip for Fontwell comes in the Novice Hurdle. But before I get to him, I just want to mention that Doc McCoy, for Jamie Snowden, is a horse to keep on side with in the future. He’s here to gain experience and it will be interesting to see how he fares.
For this particular race though, I think Cape Vidal, under Sam Twiston-Davies, will be really hard to beat. Sam is sure to give him a really positive ride here and he is fully race-ready. There are no ground concerns and everything seems in place for him to run a big race.
