The Cheltenham Festival may be done and dusted, but we certainly are not. We have some good racing on Saturday and I think this is a great opportunity to find a few extra winners. First, we have action from Kempton, where I have two selections.
Then we move on to Uttoxeter, where I have found a very well-handicapped horse who skipped the Cheltenham Festival to run here instead. Hopefully we can have a nice profitable Saturday to finish off the racing week.
Get your weekend off to a flying start with this offer from Bet 365. Bet £10, and you’ll get £30 in free bets as soon as your first bet settles.
In the first race at Kempton there are just the nine runners and I see a real standout in this field. Persian Time is a nice horse for Nicky Henderson, but Nicky has ongoing issues with his horses. After the Cheltenham debacle, his stable form is a huge worry, so I can’t get involved.
Soul Icon is genuinely a bit of a legend, but I don’t think this will be his day in this particular field and Beau Balko is also a nice type for Paul Nicholls. However, the one for me is Issar d’Airy, who runs for the Gary Moore team. He’s a very nice improving type who looks to be on an upward curve after his two convincing Newbury wins this season. I think he will love this flat track at Kempton and should to be hard to beat.
This should be a cracking little race here. There are some nice improvers in this field that could be open to anything. Be Aware and Il Pino both look like nice types for the future, but surely Kamsinas will prove too good here if he is in the right mood. He has been running in much better races of late, and he will find this drop down in class much easier to cope with too. The ground went against him in his last two starts, but back on good to soft he should travel really well and I don’t see much here to threaten him.
My third selection for Saturday comes in a competitive Handicap Hurdle at Uttoxeter, where Lord Snootie is the very short priced favourite, and he is worth taking on for sure. Saint Davy has strong credentials but I’m not convinced that he is well handicapped enough to win this.
The one for me is White Rhino, who was originally due to line up in the Pertemps at the Cheltenham Festival, but connections have opted for this race instead. That is possibly a tip in itself and off a mark of 129, he definitely hasn’t finished improving yet. The Greenall yard is in fine form, and I can see White Rhino running a huge race here.

14:25 Uttoxeter - White Rhino
