A big winner to celebrate and two more events to focus on

We had a resounding success in the AT&T Pebble Beach last week, as Wyndham Clark did the business at 60/1. He was absolutely superb from tee to green, shooting an incredible score of 60 in the third round to secure his third PGA title and move him up to world number six.

The event was abandoned after that, due to poor weather making the final day unplayable, but we didn't mind, as it meant we’d landed ourselves a big winner. In fact, this is the second time that Wyndham Clark has won for us. Last year he did us proud by winning the US Open at 80/1, so he is certainly becoming a real favourite of mine.

This week we have two more events to get stuck into and I have two bets for the PGA Tour and one selection for the DP World Tour as well. Hopefully we can add another winner to our list this week.

Ladbrokes the bookie to be with this week!

I am going to use Ladbrokes for my golf bets this week, thanks to their excellent their prices and place terms, and I advise you to do the same. There is also a great free bet offer up for grabs if you have yet to sign up with this class bookie. Simply bet £5, and you'll get £20 in free bets in return, which is a fantastic deal.

PGA Tour - The Phoenix Open

This week, the PGA Tour moves on to TPC Scottsdale, which is a fantastic venue, so it’s sure to be a great watch. The Phoenix Open action will take place on the Stadium Course this year, which is a Par 71 over 7261 yards and the course sets up really well for those that have a decent short game.

The current favourite, Scottie Scheffler, is going to have a big chance here with his tee to green play, but he has been very ropey in the putting department of late. So, at 9/2 I am absolutely going to take him on this week. There are plenty of classy players in the lineup that have a better short game than him at the minute and I have two particular selections in mind for you.

Brian Harman @ 50/1 EW

Brian Harman caused quite a stir when he won the Open Championship last year and he has been playing some solid golf ever since. Although there are a few players at the top of the market with big chances, they lack value, whereas Brian Harman is definitely overpriced at 50/1.

He is currently world number 10, and has been holding that position well since picking up his first Major title, so I cannot let him go unbacked this week. His huge price tag severely underrates his ability and I think this course sets up rather nicely for him. He has a superb temperament and he has no problem winning from the front either. I think he is cracking value this week at 50/1.

J.T Poston @ 25/1 EW

J.T Poston is perhaps the player who has surprised me the most over the last 12 months. His game has come on in leaps and bounds, to the point where I can easily see him bagging a third PGA Tour title this week in light of his rapid progression. He is up to world number 37 now and has started this season in great form once again.

He has made all four cuts, and has three Top 10 finishes to his name already. He may only be 25/1 to win this week, but I don't mind getting involved at that price, because I believe he has the game to contend in the Majors this season as well. I think J.T Poston is a player that is just going to keep on improving and he has to be in with a big shout here.

DP World Tour – The Qatar Masters

The DP World Tour heads to the Doha Golf Club this week for the Qatar Masters, and this is always a fantastic event to watch. The course is a Par 72, stretching to 7475 yards, and you need a real solid all-round player to win this event.

Last year's winner was Sami Valimaki, who put in a great performance to take the honours. It really is a wide-open event again this week, but there is one player here who stands out for me. He has everything going for him at a decent each way price, so hopefully we can bag ourselves a winner.

Frederic Lacroix @ 28/1 EW

My best bet for this week’s Qatar Masters is Frederic Lacroix, who comes into this event in stunning form. He has finished in the Top 5 no less than four times over his last five starts and that form doesn’t look like it’s going to disappear anytime soon.

He has a very good long game, so the Doha course will definitely suit him, and his short game has been just as impressive of late, if anything it looks to be improving even. Either way, he is most definitely thriving and, in an event, where a few of the big names are missing, I think Frederic Lacroix is the best value pick here.
