I return to daily betting tips today, as we head to Windsor for some competitive Racing League action! I think I have found one at a lovely each way price, who has a massive chance, and his trainer is one to watch in these valuable events.
If you’re new to my articles, I’m the resident horse racing tipster here, and I typically produce four articles per week. Predominately these are daily betting tips but I also provide other types of content too, including guides, big race trends and antepost selections.
If antepost selections are your cup of tea, I have already posted selections for the York Ebor Handicap, St Leger, King George VI Chase, 2026 Cheltenham Festival and the 2026 Aintree Grand National. Make sure you check those out and take advantage of the early prices on offer to get the best value!
At the time of writing, Whathappensinvegas is priced up between 8/1 and 9/1. Bet365 are offering the best price available of 9/1 as well as four places on the each way terms, which is superb value! The value doesn’t end there though. New customers who bet £10, get £30 of free bets. The brand’s consistent level of value makes it really worthwhile!
There are several factors that draw me to Whathappensinvegas today and in this article, I’ll break them all down for you.
On his penultimate start, I fancied Whathappensinvegas to win over 1m 4f at Newmarket on Good to Firm ground. However, he raced too keenly for that longer trip, and was subsequently unable to show his best at the business end.
Despite that, he still ran on to finish second, and he produced a very solid RPR of 82 off his mark of 75. It is also worth noting that the winner, Claymore, was very well handicapped, so there was no shame in that defeat anyway.
Last time out, Whathappensinvegas was dropped back to 1m 2f at Chepstow but he faced less suitable Good to Soft ground. Again, he did himself no favours by racing keenly. Considering that and the ground, he did well to finish in fifth, beaten by just 4.5 lengths.
He stays at the 1m 2f trip, and the ground is Good to Firm here at Windsor today, which should be perfect for him. All of his best form has come on Good or Good to Firm going, but it has predominately been the latter, so I’m willing to draw a line through his last run on softer conditions and back him today.
As well as having the ground conditions in his favour, Whathappensinvegas is handicapped to win which is always crucial to success. He is officially rated 74 now, but races here off 1lb higher. Whilst that is not ideal, he still remains well handicapped off a mark of 75, as that is actually his last winning mark.
In June last year, he won very well at Hamilton off this mark, producing an extremely strong RPR of 85. As mentioned, he also finished second off this mark at Newmarket two runs back. On four other occasions, he has finished in the first three with marks ranging between 75 and 80.
As a result, we know he is capable off this mark of 75, if he puts his best foot forward. The key to that is partly the ground, but also in getting him settled. In terms of the latter, Saffie Osborne takes the ride and she is one from one when partnering him, and you cannot ask for better than that strike rate. Hopefully Whathappensinvegas will behave for her today!
Ian Williams is a shrewd operator when it comes to placing his horses. If there are any types of special or prestigious events with hefty prize money on offer, he always seems to have one lined up for it. Now that isn’t just coincidence, this is fantastic race planning from him, and the winnings are well deserved.
To give you some recent examples: -
Considering the amount won by Ian Williams, nearly £130,000 from these four horses in the last six weeks or so, I’m surprised he isn’t more heavily discussed but he seems to be doing all of this relatively under the radar.
For example, with Silent Age and Beylerbeyi‘s third win, he seems to have targeted the Racing League for the fantastic prize money. Today’s race is a Class 4 Handicap, but there is £35,000 up for grabs and £18,039 of that goes to the winner. I’d say it’s no coincidence that he has Whathappensinvegas lining up in here, and looking handicapped to win.
When you consider all of the positives - the going, the jockey booking, the handicap mark and Ian’s fantastic placement of his horses - Whathappensinvegas must be of interest here, especially at a price of 9/1 with four places.
That said, Whathappensinvegas can be a monkey. As you have already heard earlier in this article, he can race too keenly and hamper his own chances. As a result of this frustrating tendency, I’m only playing half stakes today.
Whilst I am reducing the stake, I’m hoping that the sharp track, big field and competitive line up can make this a proper race with an honest gallop. And with Saffie Osborne taking the ride, if she can keep a lid on him, he has a massive chance!
Below you will find some of our recommended bookmakers and the superb free bet offers that they currently have available. There is plenty of value to be had by using these deals, so make sure you take a look!
I produce four articles with free betting tips for betting.co.uk most weeks, but the majority of my selections are exclusively for my Discord members.
They enjoyed a very profitable start to August with a treble landing on the very first day of the month at prices of 9/1 (12/1), 7/1 and 5/1! That followed on nicely from July, which ended with a profit of +29.239pts!
