Racing fans, I hope you are all doing well. For Thursday’s racing we are heading to Warwick where I have two quickfire betting tips for you which should be pretty hard to beat. The first of these two runners has more experience than the majority of his rivals and I rather like a well-handicapped mare a little later on in the card. These two were the only real standouts for Thursday, but things liven up a little on Friday and I am going to put together a Lucky 15 for you before we head into the weekend
My recommended offer today comes from William Hill. All you need to do to claim it is sign up,
bet £10, and you’ll get £30 in free bets
once your initial bet has settled. If you plan on having a punt today then it’s definitely one to think about.
My first selection comes in the Maiden Hurdle, where I see plenty of horses with potential for improvement. Old Time Chaser will surely be popular for the Nicky Henderson team, and it would be no surprise to see him figure heavily, but he hasn’t looked overly straightforward thus far and that does concern me. Inside I’m Dancin is another who is highly likely to run a decent race, potentially at a decent price too.
But I think this is a good opportunity for Fergal O’Brien’s
Gwash
to break his maiden over Hurdles at the second time of asking. He sets a pretty decent standard based on his run at Huntingdon over two miles and the step up in trip is likely to be in his favour as well. He is a strong travelling type, who shows hints of ability and
he has plenty of gears, so even if they go at slow pace over this trip, he should be strongest
in a finish. I think this race sets up nicely for him and it will take a pretty good one to stop him.
This Handicap Hurdle, over the extended three miles, is a really interesting race. Saint Davy runs for the Jonjo O’Neill team and he is a horse I have always liked, but he really disappointed me last time out and he isn’t obviously well-treated here either. Hyland is also a fair prospect, but similar to Saint Davy in the sense he would also need to bounce back to form to get competitive here.
However, there is one runner here that is particularly well-handicapped, which is Dan Skelton’s mare Take No Chances, who is also unexposed over this trip. She finished just a nose behind Zain Nights last time out and she had to give him 3 lbs that day too. Following that run, Zain Nights went on to bolt up at Cheltenham last week, which means her runner-up form has been strongly franked since. It’s highly unlikely that this mare has finished improving and off a mark of just 121, I can see her getting very competitive indeed here.
