For Wednesday’s racing I have just one selection for you, who runs in the Handicap Hurdle at Newton Abbot. I think my pick can take down the favourite in this field and I'm sure he will give us a good run for our money.
I’ve yet to see what Thursday has to offer us, but coming up at the end of this week we have the Epsom Oaks on Friday and the Epsom Derby on Saturday to look forward to. Rest assured I’ll have plenty more betting tips for you to get stuck into as the week progresses.
With a busy week ahead, make sure you take advantage of this generous new customer offer from BetMGM. All you need to do is sign up,
bet £10, and you’ll get £40 in free bets. Those freebies will definitely be worth having at the end of the week.
My only selection for Wednesday runs in the Handicap Hurdle at Newton Abbot, where we have a small field made up of five rather off-form runners. The Harry Fry-trained Monjules carries top weight and will likely go off favourite here. He had a good season last year, where he showed a decent level of ability on his best days, and he comes here fresh from a break. While Monjules obviously has plenty of appeal, I have a suspicion that my selection can take him down.
So I’m going to take a chance on the Anthony Honeyball runner, Silver Shade. This will be his second start of the season, and although he did pull up first time out, he was travelling well at the time and would have needed the run after nearly 600 days off the track. In the season prior to his break, he had wins at Fontwell and at Kempton and looked to be a nice horse on the way up. He hasn’t had the opportunity since then to show us where he’s at, but he had serious potential a couple of years back and I think this could be his chance to get back to winning ways.
