As we move on to Friday’s racing where I have two selections for you and they are both very hot picks! The first runs at Newbury, and she’s a really smart filly who is improving nicely. A repeat effort of her latest outing will see her bang in the mix and I fully expect to get a good run for our money out of this one.
Over at Epsom I’m siding with a veteran. He returned to form last time out and looks extremely well- handicapped on the back of that effort. He has already won numerous times here, including last year’s renewal of this same race, and I genuinely expect him to do the same again.
The weekend brings loads of Flat action at Ripon, Newbury and Newmarket, but we also have two Jumps meetings to think about as well, so be sure to come back tomorrow as I have a few betting tips lined up already.

There are some really nice two-year-olds running in the opening race at Newbury. Marrakesh Express is still a maiden, but improving run-for-run, and it won't be long until he wins one, especially if he can build on his most recent effort. Ralph Beckett’s Priapos is also a flashy colt, and another who is likely to improve on his latest start. If he does, he may not be too far away either.
But I’m stuck on Sir Mark Prescott’s filly,
Miss El Fundi, who broke her maiden last time out in excellent style, and is quickly turning into a very smart sort. On some level I understand why she is being overlooked here - after all, she'll be coming up against some rapidly-improving colts. However, she is a very good traveller and
the drop back to six furlongs worked a treat for her last time out, enabling her to use her speed and finish strongly. Sir Mark’s team are absolutely flying at the moment, and with such strong credentials, I fully expect this filly to take another step forward here.
In the Betfred Handicap over at Epsom Ashwiyaa runs for George Boughey. She got her act together last time out and she could come on for that run, but she has been rather hit and miss, so you are putting a lot of trust in her producing the same level of performance. Tourist has been another rather frustrating sort to follow. He’s had plenty of opportunities to get his head in front, but has still failed to do so consistently, and he is starting to look a little over-exposed now.
That leads me to think that this race gives the 10-year-old Muscika the perfect opportunity to take advantage. He ran a cracking race last time out at York, but found one too good in the 21-runner field, but off the back of that run, now might be just the right time to catch him. He is a multiple course and distance winner here at Epsom, and won this race last year too. He has previously won off a higher mark and he looks solid based on his best form. After that encouraging run at York last month. I’m more than willing to give Muscika the nod here.
