Chris Billam-Smith vs Ryan Rozicki Boxing Betting Preview

Chris Billam-Smith still has his sights on being Cruiserweight World Champions yet again, but he will need to get past Ryan Rozicki first before getting another shot at a belt.

CBS is a former WBO Cruiserweight champion, but he lost that belt and failed to win the WBA (Super) Cruiserweight in November 2024 when he lost on points to Gilberto Ramirez.

He returned to action last April and got his arm raised in a unanimous points win over Brandon Glanton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. CBS knows he needs to put on a good performance if he is going to get another title shot.

Ramirez had one successful title defence against Yuniel Dorticos, but he came unstuck in his next fight as he was knocked out in the sixth round against David Benavidez as he collected the WBA (Super) and WBO Cruiserweight belts.

Billam-Smith knows a dominating performance against Rozicki will see him in the driving seat to face Benavidez in a title fight later on in the year or early in 2027.

Billam-Smith has only tasted two defeats since turning professional in 2017. He has won 21 of his 23 pro bouts with 13 knockouts and eight on points. He should not have any real problems against Rozicki, but nothing is certain in combat sports.

Canadian-born Rozicki is no mug, but I honestly do not think he is in the same league as Billam-Smith. Rozicki has been a professional fighter since 2016. He has had 23 fights with 21 wins, one loss and one draw.

His only defeat took place in 2021 when he lost on points to Oscar Rivas. Aside from Rivas, he has not been tested by any great fighters, so I think Billam-Smith will too good for him.

I do not think this fight will go the distance. I feel Billam-Smith's punching power will be too much for Rozicki. I am going with CBS to stop him in round 8, but I'll hedge my bets and have him winning in rounds 8-12.
