Troy Williamson will defend his British, European and Commonwealth Super Middleweight Titles when he takes on Callum Simpson at the First Direct Arena in Leeds.
This is the second time these two will meet in the ring after Williamson shocked Simpson with a 10th round stoppage to inflict a first professional defeat on the Yorkshireman.
Simpson was backed by a vociferous home crowd, but it did not help him as Williamson silenced Simpson's followers as the Barnsley-born fighter went sent to the canvas on four separate occasions before the referee put him out of his misery.
Simpson was out of sorts on December 20, but he has kept his head down, worked hard and he is ready to get back into the ring and he is determined to win his belts back.
Williamson will not be worried though, he dominated the first fight in hostile conditions, so he will be confident he can do it again. He knows if he can hurt Simpson early, then the crowd will fade as will Simpson. However, I think Simpson will be ready for everything Williamson has for him.
Simpson is a proud Yorkshireman, and the manner of his first defeat will always haunt him. He will take to the ring on Saturday night backed by thousands of Barnsley FC fans, who will hope to cheer him on to victory again. Simpson cannot afford to lose two fights in succession if he intends to make his mark on the global boxing scene.
Two of out Williamson's last five fights have failed to go the distance, while Simpson has 13 knockouts to his record of 19 fights and 18 wins.
I cannot see this rematch going the distance. Both Williamson and Simpson have immense punching power, and I believe the fighter who starts the quickest will go on to dominate the fight.
I am anticipating Simpson will come out all guns blazing, but he will need to be careful because he is well aware the problems Williamson can cause.
I am backing Simpson to get a measure of revenge to set up a third fight later on in the year or early 2027. This fight will not go the distance, and I am backing Simpson to dominate from the off and claim a knockout win in the seventh round.
