It’s that time! The Euros are almost here after what seems like an eternity. And now we’re so close, it’s time to find out which teams have qualified and which Euro 2024 groups they’ve ended up in.

Euro 2024 Qualifying Groups
So, who will be making the trip to Germany this year? Well, for the benefit of those who don’t know, the groups for the Euros 2024 were decided through a series of matches called the European Qualifiers. The original 53 eligible countries were split into groups and the top two from each group went on to qualify for the Euros.
This process determines twenty out of the twenty-four teams who will take part in the tournament. Of the remaining four places, one is always allocated to the host country, which of course is Germany. The other places are awarded based on the results of the 2022/2023 Nations League, with the top four teams playing off to secure their spot based on goal difference.

Euro 2024 Draw Groups

These results are what shaped the
odds for Euro 2024

The Play-Offs
Out of the teams facing elimination, the following twelve were selected based on their Nations League performance:

Path A
Path A saw Poland taking an easy win from Estonia at 5-1 and Wales a similarly straightforward path with a 4-1 victory against Finland. However, when it came to the final, neither team made much of an impact until the penalty shoot outs, where Poland scraped a place in the Euros with a 5-4 win!

This time Israel and Iceland faced off against each other, with Iceland taking the place in the final with a 4-1 result. Ukraine took the remaining spot with a 2-1 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Path C
The final group of the play-offs started off with Georgia securing a 2-0 win against Luxembourg to be joined by Greece in the finals after they had an easy 5-0 victory against Kazakhstan. The final heated up after a 0-0 game on penalties, ultimately resulting in Georgia taking that last qualifying spot after winning 4-2.

It’s been a long road, but here we are at last! We have the following teams all raring to go and heading to Germany for 14th June 2024.

The first match of the tournament will see Scotland taking on their German hosts in Munich on 14th June. The semi finals are due to take place on the 9th and 10th July and the final will be a month after the kick-off on 14th July at the famous Olympiastadion in Berlin.
