With only one game in the Premier League this weekend, the FA Cup fourth round commences with plenty of interesting ties.
We went through the possible giant killings last week, and this week we are going to look at the biggest Premier League teams. So, for part two, we are going to look at the biggest sides remaining, and the best bets to make with the leading UK providers.
This FA Cup weekend begins with Chris Wilder’s inform Middlesbrough side travelling to the Theatre of Dreams on Friday night
The aforementioned Wilder has completely transformed Middlesbrough. Under Warnock, they were a perennial mid-table team flirting with relegation. Whilst under Wilder, Boro are storming towards the playoffs in the second half of the season - playing good football along the way.
They are still heavy outsiders for the fixture. With Ladbrokes they are 9/1 to win at Old Trafford, and it does seem a long shot.
Manchester United have been a mixed bag under Ralph Rangnick. They began his tenure with three-straight Premier League wins, but faltered against the likes of Wolves, Aston Villa, and Newcastle.
We think Rangnick’s side will pick up the victory this weekend. They are 1/3 to win - clear favourites - but for better returns, we think Manchester United win and under 3.5 goals at 1/1.
From the Championship to League One. Plymouth Argyle, who are still in contention for the League One playoffs, travel to Stamford Bridge on Saturday in the fourth round.
Plymouth had an incredible start to the season. After the first ten games, they were in the hunt for automatic promotion, but the Pilgrims have tailed off slightly. They lost manager Ryan Lowe and now they sit three points from the playoffs.
As expected, Plymouth are huge outsiders at 28/1 to win at Stamford Bridge. In the past, Bradford have been to the Bridge and won, but we don’t see a win for Plymouth.
Chelsea themselves have had a turbulent campaign. Off the back of winning the Champions League, the Blues were expected to push for the title this season. That hasn’t been the case. Thomas Tuchel’s team are seemingly out of the title race, but success in the FA Cup could secure a domestic double for the Blues.
Tuchel’s side are 1/14 to win the game, but for better odds, we suggest going with Chelsea to win to nil against the Pilgrims at 1/2.
The final matchup is between last year’s FA Cup finalists and the consensus Championship winners.
Fulham are running away with the second division. Marco Silva’s side are dispatching Championship opponents, recently winning four-straight games by an aggregate of 22-6. We still think they will come out on the losing end, but both teams to score and over 2.5 goals is a good bet with Ladbrokes at 23/20.
As for Manchester City, they are running away with the Premier League. This is reflected by the odds on them to win the game. With Ladbrokes, Manchester City are 1/7 to knock out Fulham, and we think this is an extremely safe bet to earn some cash this weekend.
