A late fight-back saw Matt Barnes’ Prestwich Heys side pick up a valuable 3-1 win over Lower Breck at Adie Moran Park.
The visitors had taken the lead on the half hour through Anthony Brown and held the lead going into the break.
Joe Rothwell levelled the scores for the home side on 58 minutes, and two goals in the last ten minutes from Max White and Jack Coop wrapped up the three points.
Atherton Laburnum Rovers took a point in a 1-1 away draw at South Liverpool.
Luke Nicholls put the away side ahead at half time, scoring five minutes before the break. Stephen Doyle’s second half penalty brought parity for the home side and both sides had to settle for a point.
Warren Jones’ side are in a bad run of form at the moment with no win from six, but at least avoided defeat today after two consecutive 4-2 losses.
Elsewhere, Daisy Hill lost 3-2 at home to Nelson, with goals from Dean Singleton and Cameron Lewarne not enough to rescue anything from the game.
After winning four games on the bounce, Wythenshawe Amateurs were held to a 1-1 draw at Ellesmere Rangers.
Joe Parry’s 20th minute goal had put Ellesmere in front, with Samuel Adewusi equalising for the visitors on the hour.
The Hollyhedge Park based side remain well placed in the league table but missed an opportunity to climb to second, with other teams in FA Vase action.
Stockport Town lost 2-1 at Sandbach United, with captain Paul Turnbull getting a late consolation goal.
