Top players on the move
- Despite his recent good form and Mikel Arteta’s desire to see him stay, striker Eddie Nketiah is yet to sign a new contract at Arsenal. West Ham are thought to be extremely interested in signing the former England youth star, but could face stiff competition from a host of other top flight clubs. If Nketiah fails to sign at the London Stadium, Hammer's boss David Moyes is expected to increase his interest in Aston Villa’s Olly Watkins.
- Regardless of whether Nketiah leaves after the season ends, Arsenal will be in the market for a new striker this off-season. Everton’s Dominic Calvert Lewin is one of their main targets, whilst Benfica’s Darwin Nunez could also fit the bill, assuming the Gunners make it to next season’s Champions League.
- West Brom and England goalkeeper Sam Johnstone is wanted by both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. The 29 year old is seen by both clubs as a high end backup option and a possible long term starter. Johnstone has been left out of West Brom’s team for the final few games of the season having expressed his desire to leave the Baggies.
- Finally, the latest news from Aston Villa is that Philippe Coutinho is very close to turning his loan move into a permanent transfer. His parent club Barcelona are expected to expect somewhere in the region of £20m for the playmaker, a price that Villa are more than willing to meet as manager Steven Gerrard looks to build his squad for next season.
