Golden chance for the Gunners

Arsenal did what was required of them in Spain last week. Despite taking the lead on the stroke of half-time thanks to Viktor Gyokeres' penalty, it wasn't enough as Julian Alvarez slotted home from 12 yards in the second half.

But there's no doubt Arteta came away from Spain happy - whether he admitted that to the press or not. Back at the Emirates, the Spaniard will fancy his chances, who are now three unbeaten at home.

Not only have Arsenal started to pick up (W2 D1), they haven't conceded in their last three, and in a high-pressure match against Fulham at the weekend - with so much on the line - Arsenal were composed and breezed to a 3-0 win. One goal may be enough.

Atletico have it all to do

Having lost three of their last five away matches, Atletico will have been annoyed at not winning the first leg in their own back yard. The pressure will be on Arsenal to deliver in the second leg, but Atletico will know they will need to be at their very best to stop them.

A morale boosting 2-0 win against Valencia at the weekend saw Diego Simeone's side go three unbeaten - and it was also their first clean sheet in seven matches. Defensively, Atletico haven't been themselves for quite some time.

Atletico had moments in the first leg, and will no doubt have opportunities in North London, but perhaps not quite as many - and Simeone will need to make sure his players know that.
