Arsenal's long awaited final

It has been two decades since Arsenal appeared in the final when Arsene Wenger's side lost against Barcelona. Little did their supporters know they wouldn't return for quite some time.

But the wait is over, and the Premier League champions have every chance of securing their first Champions League title after a tremendous domestic campaign.

Arsenal closed out their season with five wins on the bounce, but Mikel Arteta's side have performed well throughout the knockout stages too.

Victories over Bayer Leverkusen, Sporting and Atletico Madrid have seen Arsenal make their long awaited return - although PSG will arguably be their toughest opponent to date.

PSG eyeing up double

After battering Inter in last year's final 5-0, PSG are hoping to become just the second team to ever win back-to-back Champions League titles - and they will fancy their chances.

An incredible run throughout the knockout stage saw them score 44 goals. More impressively, 18 of those came against English sides Chelsea and Liverpool as well as tournament favourites Bayern Munich.

Having won nine of their 11 knockout matches - drawing the other two - Luis Enrique will be hoping to add more silverware to his resume. The head coach has won this competition twice, and they've shown to be the best team once again this year.

With just one more obstacle in their way, PSG will be fired up in Budapest to take the trophy back to Paris.

Arsenal vs PSG H2H

It's two wins apiece in their last five head-to-heads, although PSG have won the last two clashes. Arsenal lost 1-0 and 2-1 against the French champions in the semi-finals last season, although will take some hope from those ties being close encounters.

They beat PSG 2-0 in the Champions League back in 2024 thanks to goals from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka - although that was at the Emirates and in familiar surroundings.

With two exciting sides going head to head in Budapest, can Arsenal win their first ever Champions League or will PSG retain their title? Nathan Joyes has provided his Champions League best bet for the match.

Side with experience

PSG (13/10 with Betfred) will be a popular bet for their performances in this competition to date, and how they stepped up and beat Inter comfortably 12 months ago. However, their defence isn't bullet proof having conceded in 11 of their 16 Champions League matches this season.

Arsenal (2/1 with Betano) are the underdogs but having trailed in the Champions League for no more than 43 minutes this season, they are going to be a difficult team to break down.

But that could be potentially what catches Arteta's men out. They aren't used to being in a situation where they need to come from behind in this competition and PSG have been so dangerous scoring six vs Bayern, four against Liverpool and eight vs Chelsea.

Keeping Kvicha Kvaratskhelia quiet - who has 16 goal contributions - Ousmane Dembele - who has nine - and the likes of Vitinha and Desire Doue - is going to be a tall order.

PSG have been here and done it - and have the experience to get over the line. Arsenal, who achieved Premier League glory, may have to settle for just that title after a long campaign. PSG have simply been on another level in the Champions League this season and their odds-against price is too intriguing.
