After falling 2-0 behind against Brighton on Wednesday, Aston Villa's five match winning streak looked set to come to an abrupt end.

Yet the magic of Ollie Watkins combined with goals from Amadou Onana and Donyell Malen stunned the Seagulls to complete the comeback.

As a result, Villa are now sat in 3rd, just six points behind their next opponents. At home, they have won their last eight across all competitions, keeping four clean sheets in the process.

Wins against Man City (1-0) and Bournemouth (4-0) have been their standout performances - and results - in front of the supporters - who will be in a confident mood when Arsenal head to Birmingham.

A home win would certainly put Villa into contention for the title.

Arsenal will be tested

Hoping to make sure that doesn't happen is Mikel Arteta, who will be looking to extend the club's 18-match unbeaten run.

Their 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge was backed up with a professional 2-0 win against Brentford midweek to stretch their lead at the top of the Premier League. The only negative on the night was the loss of Cristhian Mosquera who was substituted in the first half.

With both Gabriel and William Saliba also out injured, this is going to be Arteta's first real test to see how he can conjure up another clean sheet with a weakened back line.

Still, Arsenal have only suffered one away defeat this season, and at the other end of the pitch they have so much quality to hurt any team in the Premier League.
