Atalanta will be looking to climb into the top eight with a win against Chelsea, who will be hoping to build on their impressive 3-0 victory against Barcelona last time out. The hosts have yet to taste victory at home in this competition, who will be a tough nut to crack at the Gewiss Stadium.
Our football expert Nathan Joyes has analysed the Champions League odds and provided his best bet for the match.
Atalanta return home after a 3-0 win against Frankfurt in the previous round, where a frantic five minutes in the second half sealed the points.
The hosts broke down and the Italians took advantage around the hour mark, but it was a fair reflection with Atalanta dominating the match throughout.
That was their second away win on the road, having previously beaten Marseille on the French southcoast.
At home, Atalanta squeezed past Club Brugge, leaving it until the 87th minute to claim the win. However, a 0-0 draw with Slavia Prague followed, despite having the upper hand throughout the 90 minutes.
And now Chelsea arrive in Bergamo - arguably Atalanta's biggest test to date.
Chelsea will certainly have a spring in their step after hammering Barcelona 3-0 at home in the previous round. Arguably, it could have - and should have - been more from Enzo Maresca's side.
But the Club World Cup winners can't afford to take Atalanta for granted just because they brushed aside one of La Liga's finest.
That's because Chelsea have yet to win on the road in the Champions League. Having lost 3-1 to Bayern, much more was expected when they ventured to Azerbaijan to face Qarabag.
Yet despite Estevao scoring the opener, two second half strikes from the hosts caught them out, and the English side could only rescue a point in the second half.
Chelsea are growing into the 2025/26 campaign, but there's work to be done on the road.
This will be the first ever meeting between these two sides - perhaps adding a bit more edge to the match. Chelsea's record against Italian opponents reads won seven, drawn six and lost four. They did lose their last trip to Italy against Roma 3-0 back in 2017.
With Atalanta proving a difficult side to beat and with Chelsea playing through a hectic schedule, this looks like a tough one to call. However, Nathan Joyes has analysed the betting and has find an angle for the match. Read his Champions League bet for the match below.
Atalanta (13/5 with Betfred) lost their opening Champions League match 4-0 against PSG, but have since dusted themselves down and remained unbeaten.
Wins against Frankfurt, Marseille and Club Brugge have followed, and although they drew with Slavia Prague, the Italians were very much the better team throughout. It was just "one of those" evenings for the hosts.
Chelsea (12/11 with Betano) are favourites to win the match - probably heavily impacted by their dominant win against Barcelona. But they've not quite been at the races on their travels, and their hectic schedule may impact them as they travel to Italy.
The visitors have impressed overall this season, but Atalanta are no fools, and the Italians can extend their Champions League unbeaten run since losing to PSG back in September.
