Barcelona will be looking to bank three significant points in round six when Frankfurt arrive at Camp Nou. After their heavy defeat against Chelsea, Barcelona have bounced back to form in La Liga and should take advantage against a side struggling to keep clean sheets.

Barcelona must perform

The Champions League group stage hasn't quite gone according to plan for Barcelona. After five matches, Hansi Flick's side have only accumulated seven points from a possible 15.

Having lost to PSG, held by Club Brugge and hammered by Chelsea, Barcelona have work to do if they are to progress directly to the round of 16. Flick won't want extra fixtures to deal with, and it's now time for Barcelona to switch on.

The good news for the hosts has been the return of Raphinha, who had been out injured for over two months. The Brazilian assisted on his first start back against Alaves before scoring vs Atletico Madrid.

However good Lamine Yamal is, Barcelona are not the same without Raphinha, and he has injected a boost of confidence into his side since coming back.

Fragile Frankfurt are struggling

Frankfurt have definitely been a side for neutrals to watch this season. Only one of their matches has produced a 0-0 to date, and although that came in the Champions League, it was a complete one off.

Their only other away match so far saw them lost 5-1 against Atletico Madrid. Throw in their 3-0 defeat against Atalanta and 5-1 loss vs Liverpool, it's safe to say Frankfurt's defence hasn't been at its best.

Frankfurt's inconsistency is clearly their main issue - but their biggest problem has been the fact that they have shipped in 14 goals just five matches. If they want to progress to the next round, something has to change.

But up against a free flowing Barcelona side, that might not happen until their trip to face Qarabag in round seven.

These two sides met for the first time in the 2022 Europa League quarter-finals. Frankfurt not only beat Barcelona 3-2 at Camp Nou, but the Germans went on to win the competition, beating Rangers on penalties. Times have changed since then, but Frankfurt fans will be optimistic once more.

With Frankfurt leaking goals for fun in this competition and domestically, Barcelona have the perfect opportunity to propel themselves up the table. But will they manage to collect three points?

Back Barca to score plenty

Barcelona (1/6 with Betfred) have failed to win their last two Champions League matches but have a golden opportunity to stop the rot on Tuesday.

Although the Chelsea result shocked fans, Flick's side bounced back with consecutive wins against Alaves and Atletico Madrid - scoring six goals in the process - and it could have been more if Robert Lewandowski converted his penalty against Atletico.

And while clean sheets are missing from Barcelona's game this season, what they can do at the other end of the pitch will worry Frankfurt (12/1 with Betano).

The Germans lack of organisation at the back is a major concern, and with Raphinha finding his form almost instantly after returning from injury, the hosts will want redemption for that 2022 Europa League shock defeat.

A repeat of that result looks highly unlikely and instead Barcelona can record another big home win after beating Olympiacos 6-1.
