Bayern will look to bounce back from their first Champions League defeat when Sporting arrive at Allianz Arena on Tuesday. Bayern fell short against Arsenal in North London but had made light work of all other opponents to date.
Our football expert Nathan Joyes has analysed the Champions League betting odds and provided his best prediction for the match.
After four wins from four, Bayern lost their perfect record against table toppers Arsenal.
Jurrien Timber opened the scoring as the hosts dominated the early exchanges, only for 17-year-old Lennart Karl's strike drew Bayern level after 32 minutes.
But second half strikes from Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli proved to be the difference - leaving Vincent Kompany with plenty to think about for the latter stages of the competition.
Bayern, although still on course to qualify comfortably, will look to make a statement to anyone who is now doubting them.
At home, they've beaten Chelsea (3-1) and Club Brugge (4-0) without too much hassle, and it would be foolish to write them off after one blip.
Sporting have collected 10 points from a possible 15 after a bright start to their Champions League campaign. A large part of their success has come down to their home form, winning all three matches, scoring nine in the process while conceding just two.
On their travels, the Portuguese outfit have only played twice but are yet to win. A 2-1 loss against Napoli thanks to Rasmus Hojlund's brace was followed with a 1-1 draw vs Juventus in Turin.
However, despite opening the scoring inside 12 minutes thanks to Maximiliano Araujo's strike, Juventus dominated the remaining 78 minutes and were unfortunate not to win.
While Sporting mustered up just one shot on goal, Juventus walked away frustrated having fired 18 shots at goal and won six corners to Sporting's zero. Lady luck was on their side, but they will need much more against Bayern.
The last time these two sides met was all the way back in 2009, where Bayern won 12-1 on aggregate in the Champions League round of 16. The Germans won their home leg 7-1.
Prior to that, Sporting held Bayern to a 0-0 draw back in 2006 during the competition's group stage - a result that looks highly unlikely 19 years later.
With Bayern's ego bruised, Kompany's side will be out to make a statement to the rest of the teams in this competition. Unfortunately, Sporting are that very team to tackle the Germans, and it could be a difficult evening for the Portuguese side.
Nathan Joyes provides his Champions League best bet for the match below.
Bayern (2/9 with Betfred) are expected to return to winning ways against Sporting. Having previously beaten PSG in their own back yard prior to their defeat against Arsenal, it's important to remember just how strong Bayern are at home.
Unbeaten in all competitions in front of their fans, the hosts also get to welcome back Luis Diaz who was suspended for the trip to North London.
Although Harry Kane has done most of the heavy lifting in front of goal, Diaz was the star of the show against the reigning champions in France.
Sporting (9/1 with Betano) have yet to win on the road - and that doesn't look like changing.
They've yet to keep a clean sheet on their travels, and were fortunate not to lose both. But Bayern are simply a cut above Juventus, and a dominant display is expected from both the fans and Kompany.
