Sport Recife have given it their all this campaign but a 2-0 home loss against Juventude midweek has almost confirmed their relegation back to Serie B.
Now 16 points adrift with just 21 points available, they come up against a resurgent Atletico Mineiro side who head into this match on the back of a 3-0 win vs Bahia. The hosts are going to find it difficult to pick themselves up.
It has been a difficult season for Mineiro, but the appointment of Jorge Sampaoli has rallied the troops and they head into this fixture unbeaten in their last five matches.
They are winless in their last nine games - which is slightly concerning - however Galo recently beat Sport Recife 3-1 at home - and if ever there was a fixture to stop their unwanted record, it's this one.
Back Hulk and co to build on their 3-0 win and all but confirm Recife's relegation with our first football tip this weekend.
Betting Tip: Atletico Mineiro to win at 6/5 – Spreadex
Having won four matches in a row in October, Vasco's start to November couldn't have gone any worse. A 2-0 home defeat vs Sao Paulo saw them hammered 3-0 on their travels against Botafogo just three days later.
However, back at home is where Vasco are much more themselves. Having lost just two of their last 10, the Rio de Janeiro based club have massively improved under Fernando Diniz - and are definitely a team to watch next season.
Forwards Pablo Vegetti and Rayan Vitor have 25 league goals between them and now come up against a Juventude side that has conceded 39 goals in their 16 away matches. Five points from safety, Juventude are fighting for their lives, and head into this contest on the back of their first away win since August.
Vasco are heavy favourites to win but with just two clean sheets from their last 10, Juventude are capable of getting on the scoreboard. Goals looks to be the best angle.
Betting Tip: Over 2.5 Goals at 8/11 - PricedUp
Sao Paulo are still fighting for a top six finish this season and head into this contest on the back of a three match unbeaten run. Hernan Crespo's side have beaten Bahia, Vasco and held Flamengo in the last 10 days - they are peaking at just the right time.
They face a Bragantino side looking to steer away from the relegation zone - who secured a huge victory midweek over Corinthians - ending their four match losing streak.
But it's worth pointing out Corinthians do not travel well, gave up a penalty and finished the match with nine men. If ever there was a golden opportunity for Bragantino to win - it was this clash.
Back on the road, there's still plenty to fix. They haven't won since July on their travels and head to Sao Paulo having lost their last three. In fact, they've lost nine of their last 10 (D1 L9).
Sao Paulo were excellent vs Flamengo - a side leaps and bounds above Bragantino. Back the home win.
Betting Tip: Sao Paulo to win at 3/4 – Betway
Corinthians still have an outside shot of achieving a Copa Libertadores spot next season. And while that is out of their hands, their good home form should keep them in the running.
Having won four of their last five in front of their supporters, winning all of those without conceding, Ceara will find it tough once again on their travels.
A last gasp equaliser against arch-rivals Fortaleza midweek will have given them a confidence boost, but goals are lacking at present - especially on the road. Ceara have scored just twice in their last five away games - winning just two of their last 10 (W2 D3 L5).
The hosts have so much attacking quality. Memphis Depay, Yuri Alberto and Rodrigo Garro are all fit and ready to play - and they may only need to score one in order to secure the points. The hosts are generously priced to continue their winning form at home.
Betting Tip: Corinthians to win at 3/4 – Betway
The title contenders face a side that have fallen into the relegation zone. Despite the return of Neymar, Santos have struggled to cope with the demands of Serie A since their promotion and a daunting trip to the Maracana awaits this weekend.
Flamengo will want to rally after throwing away points against Sao Paulo midweek, handing the advantage back to Palmeiras in this intriguing title race.
At home, Felipe Luis' side have won 38 points from a possible 48. Flamengo have scored 39 - the most in the league - and have conceded just six - the lowest out of all 20 teams.
Santos, on the other hand, have conceded 27 - only four teams have conceded more. And having lost 2-0 against Palmeiras on Thursday, they are now winless in four (D2 L2).
The hosts are short priced favourites, but having kept three clean sheets from their last five, it's best to back Santos to struggle to break down the best defence in the league.
Betting Tip: Flamengo to win to nil at 10/11 – BetMGM
I've saved the most intriguing contest until last and this should be a match every football fan should be tuning into. Mirassol's first ever season in the top flight has them in 4th after 32 matches - and after 16 home matches they are unbeaten at home. It's quite the story.
But that record faces the ultimate test against league leaders Palmeiras on Sunday evening. Abel Ferreira's side have the best away record in the league and and head into this match on the back of three wins to nil.
Palmeiras are peaking at the right time. They've managed to put three points between themselves and Flamengo with just seven rounds to go - and three points against Mirassol will see them take another huge step towards the title.
But as mentioned, Mirassol don't lose at home. They have also scored in 15 of their 16 home matches - but they have also only kept five clean sheets. Three of those have come against teams in the relegation zone and Palmeiras can pose a serious threat having scored eight in their last three.
The reverse fixture finished 1-1 and a similar result wouldn't shock those close to the league.
Betting Tip: Palmeiras double chance and over 1.5 match goals at 8/13 – BetMGM
