There are nine Bundesliga fixtures on the schedule this week, running from Friday, 28th November to Sunday, 30th November, and Bundesliga tipster Ben Smith has shared his latest bets and predictions. All selections are matched with the relevant Bundesliga betting odds for each fixture.
Eugen Polanski was handed the full-time Monchengladbach job after overseeing clear signs of progress, and that continued with a strong 3-0 win at Heidenheim last time out.
Their matches have become increasingly high scoring as his tenure has developed, and this looks another candidate for goals.
Leipzig have shown plenty of threat in attack but also hints of defensive weaknesses in recent weeks. Over 3.5 goals is an appealing bet for the opening Bundesliga fixture of the weekend.
Betting Tip: Over 3.5 Goals - 21/20 QuinnBet
Union Berlin continued their climb up the table with a 1-0 win at St Pauli last time out, extending what is becoming an excellent run of form. They are justifiable strong favourites here against a Heidenheim side who have conceded nine goals across their last two matches.
Frank Schmidt’s team are still without a single point away from home, and it is difficult to make a case for that changing on Saturday.
Betting Tip: Union Berlin to Win - 7/10 Coral
Bayern Munich needed a second-half burst to pull clear of Freiburg last week, but they still ran out comfortable 6-2 winners. Their midweek setback at Arsenal in the Champions League shouldn’t change much here, as this looks a straightforward return to domestic routine against a St Pauli side who have now lost seven Bundesliga matches in a row.
Bayern have covered the -2.5 handicap in five of their six home games, and they can do so again against a struggling opponent.
Betting Tip: Bayern Munich -2.5 Handicap - 5/6 BetMGM
Werder and Koln were both beaten last week, though each faced top-six opposition. Koln conceded four at home to Eintracht Frankfurt and their defending is becoming a serious concern, although they have still allowed fewer goals than Werder overall.
The Bremen side have tightened up compared with the early stages of the season, but there remains little between the two teams. With margins looking narrow, a small-stakes play on the draw at the available price makes sense.
Betting Tip: Draw - 11/4 Betway
Hoffenheim and Augsburg have been two of the league’s biggest entertainers so far. Both teams to score has landed in all of Augsburg’s away matches, while over 3.5 goals has clicked in all but one of Hoffenheim’s home games.
Hoffenheim have won their last two at the PreZero Arena by the same 3-1 scoreline, and something similar feels possible here. Augsburg have taken only one point from their last four away fixtures, despite finding the net in each of them.
We’ll keep it simple and side with goals though, as the hosts do concede plenty.
Betting Tip: Over 3.5 Goals - 13/10 QuickBet
Leverkusen produced their best result yet under Kasper Hjulmand in midweek, beating Manchester City 2–0 at the Etihad. Dortmund also enjoyed Champions League success with a 4–0 win over Villarreal, but Leverkusen’s domestic form is superior.
They have won six of their last seven Bundesliga matches, with the only defeat coming against Bayern Munich. At home, where they have scored 10 without reply in the league, they look slightly underrated in this matchup.
Betting Tip: Leverkusen to Win - 6/4 Coral
Stuttgart have been perfect at home this season, but while their away form hasn’t matched that, there was clear improvement in last week’s 3-3 draw at Dortmund.
They have scored in every away game, yet as that match showed, it is their defending that has repeatedly cost them points on the road.
With their attack firing well, it makes sense to take the result out of the equation and back VfB to score at least twice.
Betting Tip: Over 1.5 Stuttgart Goals - 10/13 10bet
Daniel Bauer had a difficult start as Wolfsburg’s interim boss, losing 3-1 at home to Leverkusen last week. A trip to Frankfurt is hardly an easier assignment, even though Eintracht were beaten 3-0 at home by Atalanta in midweek.
They have generally handled bottom-half opposition well, especially at home this season, and this looks another good opportunity for them to respond.
Frankfurt appeal as a solid bet to win and bounce back from their Champions League disappointment.
Betting Tip: Eintracht Frankfurt to Win - 3/4 Betway
Both teams to score has landed in every Freiburg home match at Europa-Park Stadion, which should offer encouragement even for Mainz, despite their three straight away defeats.
They have still scored in three of their five road games and do carry some attacking threat, so it is a surprise to see BTTS available at 5/6. We’ll take that angle and hope the reliable Freiburg home trend continues.
Betting Tip: Both Teams to Score - 5/6 Betway
