Chelsea return to Stamford Bridge on Saturday hoping to build on their win over Tottenham when Wolves come to town. The visitors are yet to register a win this campaign from 10 attempts - and now head to London without a manager.
The hosts are a short price to win - but is that justified? Premier League tipster Nathan Joyes provides his best bet.
It's a case of one step forward and two back of late for Chelsea. After a four match winning spell in October, a shock defeat followed against Sunderland. And while they did bounce back against Wolves in the EFL Cup - they almost through a 3-0 lead.
A dominant performance vs rivals Spurs saw Chelsea head to Azerbaijan in high spirits, yet a 2-2 draw against Qarabag left fans feeling frustrated once more.
Enzo Maresca is still dealing with an on-going injury crisis, but without sounding harsh, he's been getting enough bodies back to start building on results.
Stamford Bridge has been a difficult venue for certain teams - where Chelsea have beaten Ajax, Benfica and Liverpool. Yet defeats against Brighton and Sunderland have been stunting any real progress this campaign.
It's a bleak time to support Wolves. Last season, Vitor Pereira came in and guided his side to safety but after 10 matches this campaign his time at Molineux is over. It isn't surprising. Two draws and eight defeats leaves Wolves eight points adrift after 10 matches and whoever comes in will have to pull off the great escape already.
Wolves' only success this season has come in the EFL Cup. Beating West Ham and Everton before giving Chelsea a good run for their money have been signs there's enough fight and quality to close the gap.
Yet three Premier League defeats in a row - including a 3-0 loss against Fulham last time out - are perhaps signs the squad isn't coping with the pressure of relegation.
Something needs to change - but it might not happen this weekend.
As mentioned, Chelsea beat Wolves 4-3 in the EFL Cup last month, which was their third consecutive win in a row over their next opponents. Prior to that, Wolves won 4-2 at Stamford Bridge back in 2024 as well as a 2-1 win at home in 2023. How they desperately need to replicate a result like that on Saturday.
With Chelsea out to prove a point after their disappointing midweek trip to Azerbaijan, the hosts should have enough quality to punish their manager-less opponents.
Nathan Joyes has taken a look at the Premier League betting and puts forward his best bet.
Chelsea's price (4/11 with Betfred) is justified - but doesn't appeal and after their 4-3 win against Wolves fresh in my mind, I'm in no rush to chase the handicap line.
However, looking to back Wolves' plus handicap line (15/2 with Betano) seems to be an even worse decision - and so I'll be leaving the result alone for this tie.
I will, instead, be focusing on Chelsea's 18-year-old and top goalscorer. Estevao has taken to European football extremely well. Not only did he score against Qarabag midweek - collecting the player of the match award - but he has already scored against Wolves this season.
Premier League teams are struggling to deal with this fresh new talent and Estevao clearly has the ability to be a world class player. Back at home, Chelsea should dominate, but their Brazilian at 15/8 to score anytime looks to be a really strong bet.
TIP: Estevao to score at 15/8 with BetMGM.
