Championship football returns this weekend after the international break, with the 2026/27 season starting to take shape.
There are some interesting fixtures to look forward to this weekend, and I've picked out four selections for this week's best football tips accumulator.
All four selections are available with BetMGM, where you can also find the latest Championship odds.
Bristol City have made a great start, winning four of their opening eight matches. The Robins have also looked good away from home, picking up three points against Preston North End and Burnley.
Charlton, meanwhile, haven't had the best of starts. The Addicks are without a win in five league matches, and creating chances has been a real problem. They've managed just seven goals in eight Championship fixtures.
I was tempted by Bristol City here, especially considering how Charlton have struggled in recent weeks. The visitors haven't been particularly convincing defensively, but they've shown enough going forward to suggest they can cause Charlton problems. At 5/4, I think Bristol City are a reasonable price to come away with all three points.
Swansea have been excellent so far this season, and I think they'll be difficult to beat when Norwich visit this weekend. The Swans are currently top of the Championship, having lost just one match.
Their defensive record has been impressive. They've conceded only six goals, less than any other side in the division. Norwich, on the other hand, have been poor recently. The Canaries have lost three consecutive matches across all competitions, conceding 13 goals.
That's a disappointing defensive record, and they'll need to improve if they're going to get anything from this fixture. Swansea have been much more consistent, and I can't see Norwich turning things around against the league leaders. I'm happy to side with the home win at 6/5.
I'm more interested in the goals market for this fixture, with under 2.5 goals looking a decent bet at 5/4. Blackburn have won three of their previous six matches, and they've been fairly difficult to score against. Rovers have conceded just 10 goals in their opening 10 league fixtures.
Cardiff finally ended their eight-match winless run before the international break, beating Charlton 3-1. However, I'm still not convinced by the Bluebirds, particularly away from home. They've lost their previous three away matches, scoring just once during that run.
Blackburn haven't been conceding many goals, and Cardiff's recent away record doesn't suggest they'll cause too many problems. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a tight match, and I prefer under 2.5 goals rather than backing either side to win.
Stoke haven't been convincing away from home this season, but I fancy them to beat Bolton on Saturday. The Potters have won four of their opening eight Championship matches, although they've managed just one win from four away fixtures.
That record is slightly concerning, but Bolton haven't exactly been brilliant defensively. Wanderers have conceded 15 goals in eight league matches, which is almost two per game. Stoke, meanwhile, have scored in every Championship fixture they've played this season.
Bolton secured an impressive 4-3 win against Norwich before the international break, although conceding three goals at home isn't great. I think Stoke will get opportunities against a Bolton defence that's been conceding far too regularly.
Their away form is the obvious concern, but at 6/4, I'm willing to take a chance on the Potters picking up their second away win of the season. Bolton's defensive struggles will favour Stoke, and I think the visitors have enough quality to take all three points.
