EFL ACCA TIPS: 51/1 FIVE FOLD ACCA TIP WITH BETMGM 

The Championship heads into Game week eight this weekend, and we are starting to get a much clearer picture of how the 2026/27 season could unfold.

With the opening weeks now behind us, teams will be looking to put together a consistent run of results to gain momentum.

I’ve picked out five selections for this weekend’s best football tips accumulator. All prices are taken from BetMGM, with their latest Championship odds available.

LINCOLN VS SWANSEA – LINCOLN WIN (7/4)

Lincoln City have quickly recovered from a difficult opening to the campaign and head into the weekend unbeaten in their last five Championship matches. Back-to-back 1-0 away wins have pushed the Imps up to eighth, with Tuesday’s result at Bristol City the latest sign of their improvement.

Swansea have had a brilliant start and sit second, although they have already shown they can be vulnerable away from home, losing 3-1 at Southampton earlier this month. With Lincoln carrying plenty of momentum and having the home advantage, I’m backing the Imps to come out on top.

WREXHAM VS SOUTHAMPTON – SOUTHAMPTON WIN (5/4)

Southampton are my pick to secure three points in North Wales. The Saints have already produced some convincing attacking displays this season, including scoring three against Stoke and five against Millwall, suggesting they have the quality to cause Wrexham plenty of problems.

The hosts, meanwhile, have won just once in the Championship so far, and their recent 6-0 defeat at West Ham was another difficult result. Home advantage could make this competitive, but Southampton should have enough going forward.

BIRMINGHAM VS MIDDLESBROUGH – BTTS (4/9)

Goals at both ends could be the way to go when Birmingham welcomes Middlesbrough this weekend. Birmingham have shown they can cause problems going forward, averaging 1.4 goals across their previous 10 Championship outings, although keeping opponents quiet has proved more difficult, with an average of 1.2 conceded during the same period.

Middlesbrough have been even more productive in attack, finding the back of the net at a rate of 1.8 goals per game over their last 10 league matches. With both teams carrying an attacking threat and Birmingham having home advantage, there should be opportunities at either end.

BRISTOL CITY VS WATFORD – DRAW (5/2)

I think Bristol City and Watford will have to settle for a point each on Friday night. Bristol City have lost their last two Championship matches and will be looking for a response at home, while Watford are still searching for their first away league win of the season. Neither side has been consistent enough so far to make me want to back them for the win, and there doesn’t seem to be a great deal separating the two teams. I expect it to be a fairly even game with both sides having chances. When looking at recent meetings between the two sides, seven of their last 21 meetings have ended in a draw. I'm going with a draw for this one, due to both sides struggling for form.

MILLWALL VS WEST HAM – OVER 2.5 GOALS (8/15)

West Ham head across London to face Millwall on Saturday, and the visitors arrive with plenty going their way in the Championship. They have avoided defeat in their last three league outings and recently produced an impressive attacking display by scoring six against Wrexham. Millwall’s situation looks less positive.

They were unable to protect a strong position against Middlesbrough in midweek, eventually drawing 2-2, while a growing injury list has left Alex Neil with fewer options to change matches. The Lions have also struggled to keep teams out recently, conceding eight goals in four games. With West Ham carrying a real threat going forward, Millwall’s defence could be in for another difficult afternoon.
