EFL League One betting tipster Louie Truman has given his betting predictions for League One fixtures this week, along with League One betting odds and some of the best betting bonuses for League One football.
Bolton have been consistent under Steven Schumacher; Wanderers are just inside the play-offs in sixth. The Trotters lost 1-0 against Mansfield at home and drew 1-1 against Doncaster in their last two. Northampton are just two places above the relegation zone in 19th, the Cobblers have won just one of their last five.
Betting Tip: Draw at Half-Time – 31/20 – Spreadex
The Imps have been excellent throughout the current campaign. Michael Skubala’s side are currently second in the table, just three points behind league leaders Cardiff. They were unlucky not to secure three points against Huddersfield on New Year’s Day after controlling large parts of the game.
Peterborough have also been brilliant recently. Boro spent the majority of the first half of the season in the relegation zone, but they’ve moved up to 11th after winning five of their last six. When looking at form in the last fix, Lincoln are first, and Peterborough are just behind them in second.
Betting Tip: Draw – 5/2 – BetMGM
Blackpool have been great under Ian Evatt; the Seasiders have won three of their last five and have moved up to 17th in the table. Bradford have had a brilliant start in League One after gaining promotion from League Two, the Bantams are just two points behind Lincoln in second and will be looking to secure important points.
Betting Tip: Both Teams To Score – 5/6 – PricedUp
League leaders Cardiff are three points clear at the top of the league, and they come into this fixture on the back of a 1-1 draw away at Wycombe. Chris Willock was the goal scorer. Wigan are 14th in the table and also drew 1-1 last time out, which was against Barnsley.
Betting Tip: Cardiff Win – 16/25 – QuickBet
Doncaster are 23rd in the table, Rovers have only managed one point from their last five, which came last time out against Bolton in a 1-1 draw. Grant McCann’s side are four points away from safety, so supporters will be worried about relegation looking like a real possibility. After a slow start to the season, Luton have been consistent recently and sit just three points away from the play-off places.
Betting Tip: Luton Win – 5/4 – Spreadex
Huddersfield are sitting in fifth, and the Terriers have won three of their last five with 12 goals scored. Huddersfield and Exeter City have not drawn any of their last seven matches against each other. Exeter are 15th and come into this fixture on the back of consecutive wins against Wimbledon and Luton.
Betting Tip: Over 2.5 Goals – 4/5 – BetMGM
Plymouth are currently in 21st and have shown spells of quality in recent outings. This includes a 5-1 away win against Doncaster, Lorent Tolaj scored a hat-trick in this fixture. Tolaj is the club’s top goal scorer with 11 goals this season. Burton are just one place above the relegation zone; the Brewers have lost their last two against Wigan and Reading. Both sides have had under 2.5 goals in their last two games.
Betting Tip: Under 2.5 Goals – 17/20 – Betway
Port Vale are sitting in 24th, nine points off safety. Port Vale parted company with manager Darren Moore after suffering a heavy 5–0 defeat to Huddersfield on Boxing Day. Despite Vale having a poor campaign so far, they were excellent on New Year’s Day with a 5-1 home win against Blackpool. Barnsley have been on a poor run in recent outings; they’ve managed just one point from their last four and have dropped to 16th.
Betting Tip: Port Vale Win – 77/50 – QuickBet
Reading will look to build on their strong recent performances when they host Stockport. The Royals sit 10th, only six points shy of the playoff places, while Stockport are in fourth. The Hatters will be looking to go further than last season’s campaign when they reached the play-off semi-finals.
Betting Tip: Both Teams To Score – 4/6 – Spreadex
Rotherham have had a poor campaign so far, the Millers are sitting 22nd and have lost their last five with 12 goals conceded. Mansfield have picked up in recent games, the Stags have won their last three against Barnsley, Bolton and Bradford, who are third. A win for Mansfield could take them just three points away from the play-off places.
Betting Tip: Mansfield Win – 29/20 – PricedUp
Stevenage have been one of the season’s surprises. Boro spent most of the campaign in the top six, but a run of just one win in their last five games has seen them slip to 7th. After reaching the play-off final last season, Leyton Orient have been disappointing with only one win from their last five. Orient have been especially poor on the road with nine away losses.
Betting Tip: Under 2.5 Goals – 8/13 – BetMGM
Wycombe are 13th in the table, which is a slight disappointment after reaching the play-offs last season. The Chairboys have drawn their last two 1-1 against Plymouth and Cardiff. AFC Wimbledon are just one place above Wycombe in the table. They come into this fixture on the back of a 3-1 away win against Leyton Orient.
Betting Tip: Both Teams To Score – 17/20 – Betway
