AFC Wimbledon come into this fixture on the back of a difficult fixture run, highlighted by a dramatic 3–3 draw with Huddersfield and a stunning 5–1 away win over Cardiff in the Vertu Trophy. However, the Dons are winless in their last five. Exeter are currently 22nd with seven wins this season.
The Grecians have looked good in their last two with a 3-0 home win against Barnsley, and they were unlucky not to get anything against league leaders Cardiff, when they lost 1-0.
Betting Tip: Exeter To Win & Both Teams To Score – 19/4 – BetMGM
After missing out on the play-offs last season, fans would have hoped their side could build on last season, but Barnsley have been disappointing recently, losing their last two with six goals conceded.
On Boxing Day, Conor Hourihane’s side lost 3-2 at home against Mansfield, who have one of the worst away records in the league. The Imps have surprised many this season; they’re currently second in the table, just three points away from Cardiff.
Betting Tip: Lincoln Win To Nil – 7/2 – Spreadex
After a slow start, Blackpool have been excellent under Ian Evatt, who has been in charge for 13 games. The Seasiders have won three out of their last four and have moved out of the relegation places. Rotherham currently sits in 21st, and the Millers have lost their last four.
Betting Tip: Blackpool Win – 7/8 – Betway
Bolton are currently fourth and will be looking to secure important points to increase their chances of promotion. Wanderers managed three points in a dramatic 2-1 win against Rotherham in their last outing. After conceding the equaliser in the 90th minute, Josh Sheehan scored his second of the afternoon in the 93rd minute to secure three points.
Mansfield have only won three on the road this season, and they come into this fixture on the back of an impressive 3-2 away win against Barnsley after going 2-0 down.
Betting Tip: Both Teams To Score – 5/6 - PricedUp
Bradford are currently third in the table, and they have a game in hand. The Bantams have won four of their last five, which includes a 2-1 win against Wigan on Boxing Day; Joe Wright scored a 90th-minute winner. Port Vale are 24th and are ten points off safety.
Betting Tip: Bradford/Bradford - 71/50 – QuickBet
Both sides sit in the bottom half of the table; Burton are in 15th, and Wigan are below in 18th. Recently, the Brewers secured an impressive 5-1 home win against Northampton, which puts them in 15th. Gary Bowyer’s side are unbeaten in their last four games, scoring 10 goals and conceding four during that run. Wigan are winless in their last three, which moves them closer to the relegation places.
Betting Tip: Burton Win – 13/8 – Spreadex
Top of the league, Cardiff have won four of their last five and only lost to Lincoln during that run. The Bluebirds haven’t had problems finding the back of the net recently, with a 4-3 win against Doncaster and a 3-2 win against Huddersfield. Stevenage have surprised many this season, sitting in 5th with 36 points.
Betting Tip: Cardiff Win – 10/13 – BetMGM
Huddersfield are just one place outside the relegation places and come into this fixture with great form, winning back-to-back games against Rotherham and Port Vale. Northampton come into this fixture on the back of a 5-1 thrashing away to Burton.
Betting Tip: Huddersfield Win – 4/7 – Betway
Luton come into this fixture on the back of an impressive 4-0 home win against Wycombe, which highlighted their attacking quality. The Hatters have looked much better under Jack Wilshere, currently sitting in 8th. Leyton Orient are 12th and have been great at Brisbane Road, but have been poor on the road with four losses in their last five away fixtures.
Betting Tip: Luton Town Win & Both Teams Not To Score – 19/10 – PricedUp
After the exit of Darren Ferguson, Peterborough have looked much better under Luke Williams. During the 12 games Williams has been in charge, Posh has managed eight wins and four losses. Peterborough have won their last four with back-to-back clean sheets against Port Vale and Leyton Orient in their last two. Reading are 11th in the table and have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last four.
Betting Tip: Over 2.5 Goals - 3/4 – QuickBet
The Pilgrims are currently 20th, which is an improvement after Tom Cleverley’s side were in the relegation zone. Argyle have been much better, winning three of their last five against Wycombe, Rotherham, and a 5-1 away win at Doncaster. However, they lost 4-1 against Reading on Boxing Day. Many would have expected Wycombe to build on last season’s play-off place, but Wanderers have struggled without last season’s top goal scorer, Richard Kone. The Chairboys lost 4-0 away at Luton last time out.
Betting Tip: Under 2.5 Goals – 8/11 – Spreadex
Stockport County are currently sixth and have secured seven points from their last five. The Hatters have conceded seven goals during this run, which shows their Vulnerable to goals at the back. Dave Challinor’s side were unlucky not to get anything out of their Boxing Day fixture against Lincoln; the Imps scored a 92nd-minute penalty to secure three points. Doncaster are 23rd in the table and come into this fixture with poor form; they’ve lost their last four.
Betting Tip: Stockport/Stockport – 15/8 – BetMGM
