Flamengo have almost sealed the league title, who are five points clear of Palmeiras with just matches left to play. They head to Peru full of confidence, having lost just one match since the start of November (W4 D2 L1).

Former Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and Flamengo full-back Filipe Luis is only in his first full season as head coach, but the 40-year-old has impressed the board. Not only with his tactics and game management, but also how he's managed to keep a squad for of superstars content.

Forward Bruno Henrique heads into the final having scored six from his last six matches, while Uruguayan no.10 Giorgian de Arrascaeta has 32 goal contributions from 32 league games - he could be the key once more after an incredible season.

Palmeiras hold every chance

Palmeiras head into this final winless from their last five matches (D2 L3) but it would be foolish to write them off. Manager Abel Ferreira has won two Copa Libertadores title as Palmeiras' manager (2020 and 2021) and his experience could be key on the day.

Although recent form hasn't been good enough, Palmeiras have plenty of attractive players within their ranks that can hurt Flamengo. Former Barcelona forward Vitor Roque featured in the final for Athletico PR when he was just 17, and heads into this one with 20 goals to his name this season.

Strike partner Flaco Lopez just needs one more goal to win the golden boot - who scored two goals to knock out River Plate in the quarter-finals. In behind, Andreas Pereira will be pulling the strings, hoping to carve open Flamengo's defence.

Flamengo vs Palmeiras H2H

Flamengo have won both league matches against Palmeiras this season. Luis' side won 2-0 at Allianz Parque earlier in the campaign, before winning 3-2 at the Maracana only last month.

These two sides have met in the Copa Libertadores before (2021), and on that occasion it was Palmeiras who won 2-1 in extra time.

Flamengo can finish the job

Filipe Luis has turned Flamengo into a well-oiled machine, ran by superstars, and any one of them could write their own headlines on Saturday. However, it's Giorgian de Arrascaeta who catches the eye.

Playing in a more advanced role this season, the Uruguayan has been involved in almost half of Flamengo's 74 league goals this campaign. His fluid role allows him to drift into dangerous positions.

Palmeiras (2/1 with Betano) may not be able to cope with Flamengo's diverse attack. Bruno Henrique enjoys dropping deep, which could invite Palmeiras' defence out of position, allowing de Arrascaeta the time and space to score.
