However, Jagoba Arrasate’s side continue to struggle away from home, collecting just four points from eight trips, which makes Valencia a solid option on Friday night.

Oviedo v Celta Vigo

Oviedo have turned to a managerial change in an effort to climb out of trouble, with Guillermo Almada now in charge.

Levante v Real Sociedad

Levante have struggled badly at home this season, conceding at least two goals in every match at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia and collecting just one point as a result.

Alaves’ 3-1 defeat at Barcelona last time out was the first away match this season in which they were involved in more than two goals.

Real Madrid v Sevilla

After a poor week for Xabi Alonso, which included defeats to Celta Vigo and Manchester City, Los Blancos steadied things with a 2-1 win away at Alaves last weekend.

Girona v Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid have put together a run of three straight wins in all competitions, which has helped steady things after damaging league defeats away at Barcelona and Bilbao.

Elche v Rayo Vallecano

Elche’s home form has played a big part in their solid position after 16 La Liga games, with the hosts sitting 11th in the table. They have kept clean sheets in half of their matches at the Estadio Martínez Valero, which sets them up well against Rayo Vallecano.

The visitors have scored in fewer than half of their away games, with both teams to score landing only twice in nine trips, so opposing that market makes sense here.
