There are ten Spanish top-flight fixtures taking place from Friday 21st to Monday 24th November, and La Liga tipster Ben Smith has laid out his bets and predictions along with the best La Liga betting odds.
Valencia sit 17th and Levante 19th, and both come in with mixed form. Valencia opened well at home with seven points from their first three league matches at the Mestalla Stadium, but took only one point from the next three there, including a 2-1 defeat to bottom side Real Oviedo.
Levante have been steadier on the road, with wins at Real Oviedo and Girona. Valencia are unbeaten in 17 home meetings with Levante, but the hosts look too short in this one on current form, so Levante double chance appeals.
Betting Tip: Levante Double Chance - 8/11 QuinnBet
Both Alaves and Celta Vigo are showing clear scoring trends. Celta have drawn seven of twelve league matches 1-1, and both teams have scored in all but one of their dozen games.
Alaves have been similar at home, with both teams scoring in five of six at Campo de Futbol de Mendizorroza.
Celta’s only defeat since early October was a 4-2 loss to Barcelona last time out.
Both head-to-heads last season saw goals for each side, and the same looks likely again here.
Betting Tip: Both Teams to Score - 19/20 Coral
Barcelona have won all five home league matches this season, with their second-half strength making the difference.
They were level with Real Sociedad before finding a winner after the break, and needed a 93rd-minute goal from Ronald Araujo to see off Girona.
Athletic Club have lost three of five away, with each defeat coming after being level at half time. Given the pattern, Hansi Flick’s side look well placed to take control after the interval again and move level on points with Real Madrid temporarily.
Betting Tip: Barcelona to Win the Second Half - 3/4 BetMGM
Osasuna have faced a tough opening period, with five of their away matches coming against sides in the top six.
Their home results have kept them clear of trouble, winning three of their first four at Estadio El Sadar before an unlucky defeat to Celta Vigo, where they came out on top in the xG numbers.
Real Sociedad have had a softer away schedule, yet they have still not managed an away victory. With Sociedad struggling to impose themselves on their travels, Osasuna draw no bet makes sense.
Betting Tip: Osasuna Draw No Bet - 20/23 QuickBet
Villarreal have been excellent at home, with a stoppage-time strike from Antony the only thing stopping them from taking maximum points in all six matches.
They have dealt with the sides they are expected to beat and sit third in the table, only two points behind Barcelona.
Mallorca have struggled in away matches, losing five of six and conceding ten goals across their four trips to top six teams. With Villarreal’s attacking players in form, another comfortable home win looks on the cards.
Betting Tip: Villarreal to Win & Over 2.5 Goals - 23/20 QuinnBet
Luis Carrion has had a difficult introduction at Oviedo, taking just two points from four league matches since taking over as manager, and suffering a Copa del Rey exit to third tier Ourense CF.
This is the type of fixture Rayo Vallecano tend to handle well. They have lost to only one bottom half side all season and have won three of their four away matches against teams below them. With Oviedo struggling, the visitors look a fair price to add to the home side’s problems.
Betting Tip: Rayo Vallecano to Win - 5/4 Coral
Girona may be 18th, but their performances suggest they should be higher. Their two away points from five matches do not reflect how competitive they have been.
They were denied by a 92nd-minute penalty at Celta Vigo, conceded even later at Barcelona, and were unlucky to leave Getafe empty handed, suffering a 2-1 defeat despite having the better of large chunks of that game.
Girona’s home form has improved, and it feels like they are close to turning their away results around. It will be a test against fifth-placed Betis, but the handicap angle looks reasonable.
Betting Tip: Girona +1.0 Asian Handicap - 5/6 BetMGM
Atletico Madrid finally claimed their first away league win of the season at Betis and have since put together three straight victories in all competitions.
This trip is far from straightforward though. Getafe have been strong at home, with their only defeat coming against Real Madrid, who needed 80 minutes to break them down.
Seven of Getafe’s 12 league matches have been level at the break, while Atletico have gone in level eight times. A cautious opening looks likely.
Betting Tip: Draw at Half-Time - Evens QuickBet
Real Madrid remain top of the league but have hit a slight dip, losing to Liverpool in the Champions League and then drawing 0-0 away at Rayo Vallecano.
This looks a good opportunity to steady themselves, although Elche are usually hard to break down at the Estadio Martínez Valero.
They have conceded only three goals in six home matches, keeping Betis and Athletic Club relatively quiet.
Madrid may need to show patience again, similar to their 1-0 win at Getafe in their last away success.
Betting Tip: Under 3.25 Asian Goals - 4/5 BetMGM
Espanyol and Sevilla have both produced volatile results lately. Espanyol have gone six matches without a draw in all competitions, while Sevilla’s run without a stalemate now stands at nine.
Sevilla’s inconsistency has been clear, highlighted by their failure to build on a 4-1 win over Barcelona, which was followed by a 3-1 loss to Mallorca.
Nine of Sevilla’s league games have gone over 2.5 goals, and half of Espanyol’s have too, so the overs angle looks the most reasonable approach here.
Betting Tip: Over 2.5 Goals - 11/10 10bet
