There are 10 La Liga fixtures taking place this week, running from Friday, 23 January, through to Monday, 26 January. La Liga tipster Ben Smith has shared his latest bets and selections for the round, with each pick matched with the best available La Liga betting odds for every match.
Backing either side is tough here, with the league’s worst home team facing the third-worst away side.
Levante have collected just three points at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia, but they were at least respectable results against top-half opposition. That suggests they can stay competitive, even if the overall home record is poor.
This looks a tight match with very little to separate the two teams, and a draw feels a realistic outcome. With neither side showing much consistency in front of goal, it also points towards a low-scoring game.
Betting Tip: Draw and Under 2.5 Goals - 3/1 QuickBet
Valencia have been 1-1 draw specialists at the Mestalla this season, with five of their 10 home matches finishing with that exact scoreline.
That does not feel like a coincidence either. They are not the most adventurous side, and only two of those home games have gone over 2.5 goals, with none going over 3.5. It all points towards a controlled, low-risk approach that keeps matches tight.
Unless something drastically changes, the range of potential scorelines looks fairly small again here. With that in mind, I am happy to take a chance on another 1-1 draw.
Betting Tip: 1-1 Correct Score - 5/1 QuickBet
Villarreal are out of contention for a place in the Champions League play-offs after matchday seven, so they can put full focus into Saturday night’s clash with Real Madrid, without worrying about the upcoming trip to Leverkusen.
Their home form has been superb this season and it gives them a real chance of taking something from this top-of-the-table meeting.
Betting Tip: Villarreal +0.5 Handicap - 17/20 10bet
Barcelona’s perfect home record in La Liga is still intact, and it is hard to see that changing against bottom-side Oviedo.
Guillermo Almada’s team have failed to score away at any top-half side this season, so Barcelona to win to nil looks a straightforward pick.
Betting Tip: Barcelona to Win to Nil - 19/20 10bet
Real Betis are one of the most difficult teams to host in La Liga, with their only away defeat coming at Barcelona.
The issue is they do not win enough on the road, with just two wins and a huge seven draws. That makes the draw a real danger again here, so the draw no bet angle gives us some insurance if they are held.
Still, Betis are the better side and I’d rather be with them than against them.
Betting Tip: Real Betis Draw No Bet - 10/13 10bet
These two sides are unlikely to combine for a high goal count. Only one of Rayo Vallecano’s nine home games has produced three goals, while only two of Osasuna’s 10 away trips have gone over 2.5.
Osasuna have only scored in two away matches, and Rayo are the joint-lowest scorers in the league. Both sides defend well enough too, so it is easy to see this turning into a dull game. A 0-0 draw feels well within reach.
Betting Tip: 0-0 Correct Score - 13/2 QuinnBet
It would take a brave punter to predict this one with any real conviction. Athletic Club won at Atalanta on Wednesday, but they have not put together back-to-back victories since August, so trusting them is not easy.
Sevilla have lost their last two home matches, but the 3-0 defeat to Levante was a harsh scoreline based on how the game played out. At the prices available, I’m happy to take a small chance on the home win.
Betting Tip: Sevilla to Win - 2/1 BetMGM
Atletico Madrid only beat Alaves by the odd goal in their last home league game, and that went against the trend of seven of their previous eight home matches ending in a win with two or more goals scored. Even so, they created more than enough chances in that game to suggest the goals will come again.
Betting Tip: Atlético Madrid to Win & Over 2.5 Goals - 10/11 Coral
Both teams to score has landed in eight of Real Sociedad’s 10 home matches, and they have only failed to score once at Anoeta.
Celta Vigo’s scoring record on the road is just as good, also failing to score only once in their away games. With both sides showing consistent attacking output, the price on both teams to score looks generous.
Betting Tip: Both Teams to Score - 17/20 Betway
Girona have started 2026 with three straight wins, dragging themselves out of relegation trouble.
Getafe do not have that luxury and could struggle to take anything here.
Betting Tip: Girona to Win - 11/10 BetMGM
